You thought I'd miss this party?

The lid off a can of pringles can be used as a lid for an opened tin of beans or can of drink for overnight storage in the fridge

Jimbob is still alive... He's just chasing weird photos of shrek, Yoda and everything inbetween round the internet.

I didn't think a pringles lid could fit over a can of drink. Thanks for the tip!

I feel a complete idiot.

Most of yesterday, I was cutting down my CTR gameplay to remove the loading screens, and every single time I was exporting it, the end few minutes would come out stuttering. I changed settings, tried again. Changed settings, tried again. I could see I hardly had any space left on my drive, but for some reason it eluded me that the problem was there. Come today, where I've cleared about 60GB off the hard-drive, and it's worked absolutely fine.

So yeah... I need to stop riding on the edge of my 'drive all the time.

A bit gooseberry fool.

This woman I know from school said she'd go to Hyper Japan with me (which is tomorrow) she said she would go like a month ago. And she's literally just cancelled on me today. It's very clear that she just doesn't want to go but she made up some excuse which I offered a solution for, which she then brushed off.

I hate it when people do that, just be an adult and say you don't fancy going, people can see right through your bullshit. I dunno if she thought I was trying to make a move on her or something and got scared (I wasn't). Very odd.

Oh and I've been on 3 dates with this girl and asked her this morning about going out again and she's read the message and not replied, so all in all, not a brilliant day...

And my flat mate is away for the week so I'm just sat here mulling it all over in my head and it's not great.

Reading a message and not replying straight away doesn't specifically mean anything. She might have been doing something else at the same time and then just forgotten to reply.

I have read receipts turned off to save people from this kind of anxiety.

@Fade: I get it's disappointing, but maybe you need to keep things a little more casual, at least in your own mind?

Hyper Japan Girl messed you around a bit, but it's not the end of the world, and her excuse was probably intended so you wouldn't feel bad / take it personally. You should still go, have fun, it's a good convention!

Three Dates Girl might be thinking about how to let you down gently, or she might be genuinely busy and have forgotten to reply. Either way you can slow down a bit, waiting a day or two to hear back from someone you're still getting to know isn't unreasonable or a cause for suspicion.

I'm sorry you're feeling down fwiw, just thought maybe a pragmatic perspective on it might help a bit.

I guess so, I mean she did say she had a really nice time, and she wouldn't say that unless she is as fickle is my Hyper Japan 'friend'.

Middle class people like that are the absolute worst. I would prefer to be friends with a homeless alcoholic who called me a banana split every 5 minutes because at least you know he'd be telling the truth

Seriously though, she made an excuse about money and then made a post like 30 minutes later about importing this expensive bag from America. And she's got a doctorate. I guess there are different kind of intelligences :slol:

Sandy is probably right, she's probably been distracted by something. My partner reads messages and doesn't reply sometimes because he's been busy. I've also got a friend who will leave me waiting for a reply for months, (he's read my last message from the end of may) he will eventually reply, he's just busy and very easily distracted

I wouldn't think too much about her leaving you on read
I sometimes do that to people for days; I'll reply eventually but I can't always think about what to say in the moment

This. Unless you're my mother or my dog don't expect me to answer the moment I've read your message. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Amazing info, but who doesn't use a whole can of beans in one go?
