Midna is the only Zelda companion I actively dislike and Wolf Link is unironically worse than the pink rabbit from ALTTP - especially in replacing a musical instrument with his howling

I'll give you the bridge duel though. That Moblin is a more developed villain than Ganon himself

That Moblin is gold.
What's your problem with Midna? Just asking cause you're the resident Zelda enthusiast so your views are always interesting.
Never got to Pink Rabbit part of ALTTP but I really like the howling especially when he duets with OG Link in golden wolf form. And Wolf Link is really good for attacking baddies while his "sense" mode gives an extra dimension to the game alá the Lens of Truth.

Other transformations I'm familiar with are:
Goron (alá Rock Mario mode)
Zora (TP has a similar thing in the Blue Suit)
Deku (Good but limited)
Fierce Deity (OP God mode)
And, if it counts, Minish (Good but there'd be no point for it in TP)

If you count Adult Link and Minish Link, then those two are the best. Majora's Mask does transforming through the masks really well.

However in checking the wiki I have now discovered Frog Link and he is now my favourite:

Image

Midna looks ugly and her character is annoyingly stuck up. With her, transforming into a wolf, and the general art style... Twilight Princess is just the most deviantart Zelda game

I mean, Wolf Link is gooseberry fool, and I can't deny the deviantart-ness, but Midna is great. She's a smug, stuck-up little asshole, but it makes for an interesting dynamic when your companion has nothing but contempt for the world you're trying to save.

If nothing else, she's better than Phi.

Both Fi and Midna are pretty bad in Hyrule Warriors which I think we can agree to be a good judge of overall character

Also by this logic Linkle is the best Zelda character and I'm okay with this

I think it's telling that I didn't even spell her two letter name correctly.

It’s been 10 years since 2010 and 20 years since the year 2000, it’s shocking how quick it seems to have gone and even more shocking how little I feel I have achieved in that time :(

Flipping heck Frog Link is brilliant!!
Like Guybrush said, Midna is great. Her annoyingness is deliberate and adds to the feel of the game. She's annoying to Link, not to the player. She's not like Navi or Fi.

You're correct about the DeviantArtness of it. Can see why some people would really dislike that.

You gave us the Argos catalog thread. That is a brilliant achievement in itself. You've kept these parts of the internet interesting and if you can bring a bunch of random strangers fond memories then you've definitely done great stuff in your real life as well.

In the 2000s I entered my fifth year of life. Lived quite a lot since then, if not always successfully.

The best and worst years of my life were in this decade. Such a terrifying time of personal growth and tribulations. Looking forward to a quiet decade in the 2020s if I live long enough to survive another ten years. That thought in itself is frightening.

I feel like the past decade has been an odd one, well for me anyway. Ella has grown up so much in the past ten years, 2020 will see her turn into a teenager. I had surgery on my bad leg and now it's easier for me to get about. I'm in a long term relationship with a man I can't see myself without, I'm hoping this doesn't change. I have my etsy shop which surprises me when someone buys something from it (I haven't updated my stock in a very long time).

Theres been some bad stuff too that I dont really want to talk about, and a lot of realisations of just how ill I am and have been.

This next decade I'm hoping to get rid of my mental health issues, work harder on my self-esteem (it's very low), lose weight, move out of this flat (I love it, it's my first place, but it has some issues that the council don't want to deal with), watch ella grow up more into an adult and hope I've done a good enough job as her mum for her to be a brilliant woman in her adulthood, hopefully still be with my partner, and I'm hoping that I meet new people on the way as well as meeting up with my very best friend of 16 years whom I haven't seen for 13 of. (I miss him a lot but we do talk when he's free).

I hope the next decade brings us forumers a whole lot of good stuff. Love you all <3

I'm also one hoping the next decade will bring everyone a lot of great experiences.

For me the last decade has seen the end of my educational journey and the realisation of what I want to be doing. I'm now going to work my way in this next decade to making that as successful as it can be. New marketing and networking tactics will be looked at and implemented, to hopefully see some real growth within the next few years. I'll also be doubling efforts to get a proper monetary support system going with a proper job away from my self-published label.

I started the decade really strawberry floating miserable. Broke, unemployed out of uni with a useless degree in a town with minimal prospects at the best of times, let alone deep into the aftermath of the recession, in a broken relationship and without a strong friendship group.

With the exception of the useless degree, which obviously I still have and academically I haven't added to it, everything else has flipped to the opposite. (Okay technically I am in a lot of debt, but it's not as straightforward as that, thankfully.)

Overall it's been highly productive and successful, relatively speaking.

I guess I've made a fair amount of progress in the past decade.

I started a career in October 2010 and have worked my way up reasonably well and although I can't say I love it (it's pretty dull, accountancy), it is well paid.

I've got married, bought a house and spent at least the equivalent of 1 year of the decade travelling abroad. Have some solid friendship groups in various places still going strong too which is great.

I guess this decade is going to mark the start of becoming a proper adult which at 33, I've resisted for as long as possible. We've been curtain shopping this week. Curtain shopping.
