They made the mistake of talking to me, now they avoid my house, for people who go around knocking on people’s doors trying to push their beliefs and I assume try to convince people to join, they really don’t seem to like being questioned or hear my view on what they believe in, I just can’t imagine a situation when someone answers the door and says “yes this all makes sense, sign me up!”

I'm sure not every JW wants to do it - but it's something they have to do to remain part of their community, which can include entire families and social groups. There's no real harm anyway, as long as they avoid 5am!

I remember as a teenager being at a friends house when a group of JWs knocked on the door. My mates older brother forced him to go and answer it. We could hear him struggling to get rid of them, when suddenly his brother shouted "BEN! TELL THEM BIBLE BASHING banana splits TO strawberry float OFF!".

I have never seen somebody look so embarrassed as my mate did that day. :lol:

I quite enjoy it when the God Squad knock on my door, always good fun trying to test their faith and make them feel uncomfortable. Endless amusement, especially if they go with the classic "relatively new convert does the speaking and experienced JW hangs back until the difficult questions come out" model.

They showed me a video last time, so I just watched it and then said no thanks and wished them a nice day

I have my car booked in today to have all 4 tyres changed and it balancing because it’s had a slight shake for around a month, they took one of the front tyres off to find the spring was completely snapped and had been cutting into the tyre! I have been lucky because I use the car everyday and it obviously could have burst it, I should have took it in as soon as I noticed a change but I just kept putting it off,

I like the look of those new Jaguars and they are quite cheap but at the moment near all our money is held up in stock that is either being made still or at sea so will have to make do with this car for a little while longer but just hope that’s it for spending on it

I feel like I'm getting a cold.

In the backwards hobbleleegoo country of Ireland everyone is self isolating even without them having Coronavirus. All of our schools and colleges have been shut down. The Church has been shut down. All the loo rolls are being stripped from the supermarkets. And I can't go see anyone (friends, family) as everyone is too scared of getting the virus.

Sooo I've been getting acquainted with two series on Netflix, both brilliant for very different reasons:

Avatar: The Last Airbender - about time I started this one. Watched a certain movie that doesn't exist back in 2017 (was so bland I didn't even remember it back then) Tried the series a few months ago (saw one episode then) but now I'm done most of Season One. Sokka is absolutely hilarious, the history bits are interesting as fudge and having a certain spoiler spoiled for me makes for an interesting viewing experience watching the Zuko parts. Apparently it's not anime but it's amazing in its own right.

South Park: I love Trey and Matt from their Book of Mormon musical, and I've seen their South Park Joseph Smith episode hundreds of times, but this show is even better than I imagined. It's not all done in order (Netflix has the "Best Of" episodes plus Season 19 onwards). The episode where Butters "gets kidnapped by a Puerto Rican", the Imaginationland episodes and Season 19's arc about PC culture are highlights. Just finished the Tweek x Craig Yaoi episode which was unbelievably sweet, surprisingly so given the bizarre premise. I'm also watching Simpsons on MoviesHD (watching that from Season One onwards). On Season Six of it and yes it's great but honestly...South Park is better. Feels weird saying that but yes South Park is better than the golden years of the Simpsons. The Simpsons is still a masterpiece though, just second to South Park. In my opinion.

I guess Amazon have the exclusive rights to South Park seasons before 19, then, 'cus it's all there to watch on Prime. Even the later seasons (though 23 isn't yet available with a Prime sub).

Worms: Forum Fatalities - A BRcade Game is just under 25 hours from closing up sign-ups. If you haven't already, take a look and see if you want to join. It's a low committment game, but more players taking part means more action on the battlefield. Hope to see you over there.
