Does this have crossplay between PC and PS5?

I'm very tempted but lack of regular crew (and current server issues) put me off a bit!

I picked it up last night, so I'd be up for some games if you get it.

That said I had black screen issues when launching it and then wasn't able to connect to the servers. So can't say I was immediately impressed. :lol:

I don't tend to use the mic, and seems that plenty others don't either, you can get by using the ping system well enough.

Good to know about this.

I will keep an eye on this as it's having an issue with the servers at the moment.

Wow, 400k concurrent players just on PC; with the PS5 version reportedly proving popular, too. The server situation must have improved to allow these kinds of numbers but clearly more capacity is still required.

Honestly a brilliant and fun game. I can see how it might get a little repetitive and a bit grindy. But there is so much scope for new factions, missions types, vehicles, expansions, weapons and stratagems.

My son bought this whilst he was at ours, might log into his account and download on my PS5.

The supporter numbers have now jumped to over 44,000! It perhaps feels unlikely that Sony will publish games on Xbox but, hey, the industry is changing so I guess one can't just rule things out.

It is amazing. I've not played it a lot yet but I can't stop thinking about it. I've also got a very busy week so I won't be playing it for ages. :cry:

This has proven insanely popular. Can't wait for them to monetise the strawberry float out of it to the point where it's gooseberry fool! :toot:

It's great, and I'm trying really hard not to be a gatekeeping fan, but it's annoying that the unexpected popularity means I have been struggling to play it

For anyone enjoying this who hasn't played the first game, I think the first is probably better, providing you like twin-stick shooters. Situational awareness is easier, friendly fire is more mechanically refined (as the dive-to-prone so bullets pass over you is built in to the fixed plane, rather than relying on player aim and topography), and it has the better set of stratagems at the moment (I think it's a given we'll see things like mechs and vehicles, and the third faction, added in through updates, but at the moment they feel slightly lacking in the sequel).

I think I'm going to get it today and play it shortly.

It's great that it's doing so well really, I just want the servers fixed!

Managed to get on earlier and have a few games with Fade. Logged out and came back an hour later and can't get in anymore.

Apparently there's no idle boot. This explains why there were a load of randoms I tried to join just standing on their ship doing nothing.

Yeah this is my third evening of not being able to get into it. And I don't have all night to sit staring at a queue.
I also saw some people saying that putting your PS5 in rest mode won't kick you from the game either.

I'm gonna come back once they sort out their mess.

For PC players, joining on a friend who is in via steam will work and skip you past the wait queue.

If you don't have a friend online, browse through the steam discussion page until you find someone in Helldivers who you can join, this will also skip the queue (and then you can leave their ship).
