This game seems to be getting a lot of buzz at the moment so I bought it from GOG.

It's very much Harvest Moon like with somethings like combat that weren't in Harvest Moon.



Has anyone else caught the bug?

Never heard of it.

What platform is this on? I loved Harvest Moon on the GameCube way back when.

Yeah it's on PC the developer is dedicated to continue to support the game and continues to add new features!

I've bought it and it really is great. Co-op is also on its way!

It's CD Projekt's (they of The Witcher fame) own distribution service. They used to be called Good Old Games.

I'd like to play this but can't as you have to use keyboard & mouse controls by the looks of it.

I don't think it'd work with an onscreen keyboard either.

The menu suggests controller support.

If you tweet the developer he's really responsive to the community about changes.

I'd buy this in a heartbeat if it was released on Vita or 3DS.

The gameplay looks to be solid Harvest Moon but the art in this game looks hideous

Hideous is harsh. It does a look a bit... Playmobil. But I still find it kind of charming despite the designs being somewhat bland.

Playmobil works, although I'd favour "rpgmaker default style". The weapon/tool animations are extremely lacking too.

I mean normally I can look past a mediocre art style but something about this I just find very off putting. Especially the bit in the trailer with the beach.

In a game built around being a relaxing experience where you are concentrating on changing the appearance of the land, I kind of want it to look nice to reflect that (in fairness Harvest Moon hasn't exactly got a good history of art style itself).

OK, I started this this last night, and did the first 3 days. I will be doing one in-game day every day and will upload each day to the GRcade YouTube channel for all to watch. If you want to give me hint, tips or general advice then either post in here, comment on each YouTube video or both, hopefully you'll all take an interest and a little time to see how I get on at GRcade farm.

Played some of this

It's nice, better that the last 3ds story of season/harvest moon game* I played (A New Beginning) but the combat elements are nowhere near as good as Rune Factory 4's, the game's real strength is the design of the village and the characters. Also hated fishing at first but now I love it.

*The Harvest Moon name rights changed hands or something so now the actual Harvest Moon devs call their games western releases A story of seasons whilst Natsume release games with no connection to the original series under the Harvest Moon name, like the ios Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories
