Living the dream just like your grandfather promised. You rape what you sow in this game.

Just finished year 1 on the farm. Got all the skills up to level 5 or more, couple of cows, a goat and three chickens. Opened up the quarry and down to level 95 in the mines. Reckon I'm all set up for year 2. Going to focus on getting the greenhouse as I just need either a duck or a sheep. Maybe truffle oil will be my next upgrade.

I’m slowly coming to the realisation that Stardew Valley probably isn’t for me, I’m still playing here and there on my third farm but it just isn’t grabbing me. Reckon I’ll be waiting till Animal Crossing Switch to act as a chill game, fingers crossed that comes out in 2019.

Oh well, at least it was only roughly £10 so its not exactly going to break the bank.

I'm about to pass the 60-hour mark on this and I won't stop playing it until I've completed all of the community bundles. I won't have any issue getting the Friendship ones but I'm basically relying on the Friday/Sunday cart providing all the fish :slol:

I have definitely slowed down a lot since getting mega-rich, I no longer need to produce as much...produce. I sometimes re-visit certain floors of the mines as there are diamonds and pricey mushrooms to be had, but I'm steering clear of the Skull Caverns for the time being. Died 4 times in there now :dread:

Just noticed this is on the Google play store. How long has it been on mobile, and is the mobile version any good?

I can see myself being much more likely to actually play this on my phone than I've ever bothered with the PC version.

Edit, new farm started, couple of days in, parsnips been growing a couple of days, got a rod, met a few people. While its obviously intentional to limit what you can do in a single day I still feel the time goes by far too quickly, anyone else feel the same?

Eventually you'll have too much time in the day when your skills are maxed and you upgraded your energy bar etc.

I'm in fall of year 3, married to Emily, Got a kid (can't remember her/his name), cat called Dudley and a horse. My income is growing starfruits in the greenhouse, harvesting them and turning them into jelly. While that's growing/being preserved I also have a barn full of pigs who find truffles for me every day (as long as it doesn't rain and is not winter). I turn them into truffle oil and sell that too. I make around 70k a day from truffle oil and 250k every 2 weeks from my starfruit jelly.

I was also very fortunate to dig up a dinosaur egg. As a result I also have a coup quickly filling up with dinosaurs (they lay an egg every few days so I incubate it to get more dinos.) when I have a barn full I'll be collecting about 5 dino eggs a week and able to sell them for decent money too.

Also found a prismatic shard which allowed me to find the galaxy sword so made reaching the bottom of the mines much easier. Just started exploring skull cavern now which is Much harder. Working on the museum so I can gain the key to the sewers, this allows me to meet Crobus and continue some quest lines.

Overall quite happy with my current situation!

Fall 3, married to Leah, child, greenhouse full of Ancient Fruit which I turn into wine I cask in my cellar and sell the rest. Casking wine seemingly takes forever, hope it’s worth it. I have a shed full of jars for fruit from the greenhouse trees but this is barely worth it, even with the artisan perk. Like t is, but it’s not huge money. I still grow all the crops outside because I like growing crops outside and for ingredients in cooking which I store. Maxed out quite a few friendships, finished year two with 4 candles for the Statue of Perfection, STILL HAVENT FOUND THE PRASMATIC SHARD. But hilariously found three Dino eggs before I realised what they were. Have access to the full end game now, still get destroyed in the Skull Caverns, I swear it would be easier on PC than in Switch which I’m playing.

Only realised after 90 hours of play that rocked mode zooms you out like on PC sonthats my preferred method of play. I absolutely adore this game. I don’t min/max it, I just play and enjoy.

I’m sat on about 1.25 million for a complete farm design and have stared filling the quarry with kegs for maximum profit from crops, because, well, I can. Haven’t bothered with a slime hutch, probably won’t either.

Filling the greenhouse with ancient fruit took a while, I also have a largish crop of rare fruit outside which will net a huge amount once I turn it into wine. Really proud of my oak forest I grew year 2 because I realised I would be hungry for oak resin for the kegs. Gonna fill the cellar with casks one day so I can cask more of my wine.

I play this game whilst listening to podcasts.

When I consider this game is the work on one man, including script, artwork, animation, programming, even the bloody soundtrack, I am in awe. I make music as a hobby and even that is time consuming if you get sucked in.

I stumbled upon truffles being big money with the foraging perk that gives you iridium Level foraged items. So much so it’s barely worth turning them into oil, so I just chuck me in the basket everyday. I’ll probably get a whole barn of pigs one day, but I do like access to the other animal products because it seems ‘the right thing to do’.

Winter 3 I’m going to build the rest of my relationships up and plan my farm

Year 4 I’m going to lay off planting huge amount of crops to manually collect and use some end game strats for smaller crop plantations. And I’m gonna try and catch all the fish and ship all the items for dat 100%

Hint: I got sick of not having the sewers unlocked so I bought a bunch of omni geodes from the desert and cracked them open for minerals to donate. I needed the sewers to respec my skills because I didn’t choose artisan but I make so much artisan stuff now.

Just bought this and after a short period of trial and error have managed to setup a workable control scheme to play it using just the mouse :toot:

I feel stupid asking this but how do you craft items?

Also is there an in-game map, I keep getting lost

You just make them within the menu, you don't need a crafting station or anything. Just have the right ingredients in your inventory (and the appropriate recipe unlocked).

Map is also in the menu. Click on the little tabs at the top, one is inventory, map, relationship levels, crafting etc.

There is a map, it's in the pause menu, same with the crafting and social stuff, and more. I can't remember the key though. Maybe escape?

Thanks.

I'm using a weird control setup and for some bizarre reason my onscreen keyboard isn't working properly with the game.

I've figured out a workaround now and am managing to play the game with relative ease although I do wish the in game time went a bit slower.

Still don't know why anyone would want multiplayer in the game anyway.
