Anyone else into sweet audio set ups?

Delved into hi-fi for the first time this week. Picked up a Marantz pm6006 and Wharfedale Diamond 12.2s.

strawberry float me, the sound. Listening to Dire Straits is a properly emotional experience. The soundstage on gorillaz Feel Good Inc at the breakdown point is just incredible as well. Only had them on an hour but these are an absolute joy to listen to.

Entire weekend will be spent smoking weed and going through my favourite tracks I think

I’ve had a lot of amplifiers over the years, paired with KEF surround speakers, Wharfdale speakers, Monitor Audios. And have spent a long time listening to super audio cds, Blu-ray audio, dvd-audio.
Hands down the best setup I’ve had is my two stereo HomePods. The sound and convenience surpasses everything else I’ve had.

I get they are great with convenience but your homepods sound surpasses anything else you've had?

I've heard them and they sound great for smart speakers but that seems a slightly OTT claim.

I’ll take a couple of HomePods over any other setup I’ve had.
There are a couple of things it’s not quite as good at, for example stereo sound stage. If I sit in the sweet spot between a couple of normal stereo speakers you’ll get a better stereo experience. But the HomePods can fill a room with sound which means I don’t actually have to sit in that sweet spot.
