I've got too much on the go to be jumping into this on day 1, and it was never in doubt that I was getting it any way, but it's nice to see it reviewing so well! :toot:

Spent some time at the weekend trying to mop up the most useful mastery rewards on the Hitman 1 and 2 maps so I can transfer them over into the new game. IO still haven't announced when PC players can import the H2 maps into 3.

The game sounds so good on PSVR. My resistance is faltering.

If you were waiting until now to buy up the trilogy and play them all under Hitman 3 I have some incredibly bad news.

Yeah, jiggles, the prices have gone back up today; they have been on sale and probably will be again. Hitman 2 Gold on PS4 was £15.99 and Hitman 1 GOTY £9.99 as recently as yesterday.

I'm holding off on this until I finish Valhalla, then it will be my next PS4 game

The save "carry over" system is completely borked at the minute. I just keep getting error messages and time outs.

I'll keep trying again and again until it works as, being a one use thing, I'm worried that I'll lose it as I'm already part way through.

Probably won't play the game proper until tomorrow.

Edit - And there you go. Looks like server issues and time-outs have just lost me hundreds of hours progress from the first two games. Brilliant.

This looks really good. I have never played a Hitman game, and, bit being a bit fan of traditional stealth (but have a love for clockwork games), I have always been wary of how well they would gel with me. I think I have the first of the trilogy through one of the Xbox services. Maybe I should give it a go.

Am I right in thinking the enjoyment comes from repeated play throughs and becoming an expert of the level design? Does that feed back in to the game in a meaningful way or just for satisfaction of a job well done and an arbitrary achievement?

Haven't played properly yet as I'm waiting for IOI to fix their server problems but I had a quick run around the Hitman 1 and 2 levels and the graphical improvements look incredible.

I'm really familiar with these levels but thanks to improved lighting, shadows and richer more vibrant colours, they all feel really fresh and exciting.

It looks really, really beautiful.

Now fix the strawberry floating servers IOI!
