It really is a great one.

I'd probably rank hitman/hitman 2 as my GOTY at this time. Brilliant stuff.

Will any of this seasonal content be remaining in the game, or is it gone once the event is over?

I think they've said that this time Holiday Hoarders is permanent. Normally it disappears after Xmas.

You unlocked the Santa costume yet?

I have, I got it at the end of the mission.

Ditto, I'm forever missing these seasonal events, so it'll be nice to eventually play this at some point in July or whenever.

I really can't wait to play this in VR next year. Absolutely rinsed the main game so VR will be an experience.

Despite loving this series, I've always been a few years behind on these newer games. I played a ridiculous amount of hours into the 2016 game on PS4. I know you can't really transfer your progress from the original game, so I've ended up re-buying the 2016 Definitive Edition on Xbox, along with Hitman 2 Gold Edition on Xbox, so I can import all the 2016 levels in. I was going to start Hitman 2 in the next few days, but I've just realised it might be better to download the Hitman 3 Starter Pack (which is free), then download all the previous levels as Legacy Pack content. Would there be any downside to playing Hitman 2 in Hitman 3? Would I miss out on any story suff between the levels or is it all included?

Everything is there. It acts the same as if it were Hitman 2, just with access to outfits and items that you wouldn't find in that second game.

Awesome. Will get the Starter Pack downloaded then.

Edit: Got everything imported into Hitman 3 yesterday evening, and thought I'd just run through the training and Paris to get myself familiar with everything again. Ended up playing it all night to max out the Paris mastery. I don't want to do another full play of Hitman 1 right before 2, but it's so tempting to get the unlocks. Although I guess all the essential stuff will have variations in the Hitman 2 levels too.

My initial thoughts on Hitman 2 after the Miami level was this is too big and overwhelming, but after a few play throughs, it's really not. Managed to find most of the stories/opportunities on that map in 3-4 play throughs. Santa Fortuna felt much more manageable. I've been bouncing back and forth between them, going for silent assassin before moving on.

The last of the Hitman 3 elusive target reactivations ends Jan 19th so we might be hearing more about this elusive target arcade thing soon.

The article where they announced the second year of content says early January for the information regarding that, so I'd expect it this week. Year 2 content is said to begin on the 20th, so it could be that the Elusive Target Arcade releases then. Maybe I'm being a bit hopeful on that, though.

I'm pretty sure that's confirmed. I think I'll be buying it on Steam and starting completely fresh just to experience VR.

Played hundreds of hours on PS5 by now. Will be a shame to but have all of my unlocks but exploring these environments in VR will be incredible.
