It's damn tempting at 50% off but I have a few other things I want to play first. Oh well, it'll be 50% off again in the Xmas sale.

...Right? :shifty:

So very tempting... but there's just too much else I still need to get through!

I think I actually own all the previous Hitman games on steam but have barely touched most of them!

Yeah I like it a lot. It's definitely the Blood Money sequel I've been waiting years for. It seems like a lot of the time you can kill the target by putting rat poison in their food and then drowning them in the toilet. I'm trying to be more creative than that though having used that several times now. Did manage SA on the Chef elusive target which I'm pleased with.

My OCD is severely bothered by all those missed elusive targets though.

IO is today putting out a big update for the latest Hitman game that makes unlocks work offline.

The update means all unlockable items earned when connected to the game's servers are saved to an offline profile, so they can be used in Offline Mode. This was one of the biggest complaints among players with the game because if the servers were down and you wanted to play offline, none of your unlocks would be available. So, the update is welcome.

Items include all mastery items, so weapons, gear, starting/pickup locations as well as Elusive Target suit rewards and Challenge Pack unlocks. It's worth noting you must be connected to the game servers in order to acquire new unlocks.

The Hitman November update, which weighs in at 2.4GB on PS4, 13.66GB on Xbox One and 2.1GB on PC, follows the release of the season finale, episode 6 Hokkaido. IO said it's the first in a series of planned major updates that will lead up to the physical disc release of the episodic series on 31st January 2017 and beyond.

The Christmas mission is amazing. Harry and Marv are the targets and they're just going through the Paris mansion stealing gooseberry fool. Haven't managed to find the Santa suit though.

So Santa will teleport around the map visiting different rooms. He starts off in the main entrance hall but I normally knock him unconscious in the room where one of the thieves steal their second item. The thief goes there directly after trying to steal the fireworks remote. You'll hear bells when he's about to appear somewhere new.

I didn't expect that to be the case. I actually found Santa's "ho ho ho"ing to be almost nightmarish. I thought I was playing a horror game for a moment.

As it's the real Santa, it's somewhat strange he's wearing a fake beard.

First Colorado elusive target is out this week and it looks to be a difficult one.

You've got to kill the target in a non-explosive accident and recover documents as well.

So is this good then? How would I buy it? Can you buy the full game? Or is it seasons like TWD?

It's been well received by players and critics alike.

You can buy episodes, or a whole game bundle. You'll also be able to purchase a physical edition, featuring all the content *except* for the time limited contracts/events which have already concluded, at the end of the month.

Turns out the new elusive target is really easy but I'm a moron and messed it up. The first elusive target I haven't got SA on.

My plan was to murder the target in the house and then escape through the basement.

Prep:
1. I lockpicked the basement door in advance.
2. Knocked out the guard who walks around by the stairs.
3. Knocked out the target.
4. Knocked out the hackers.
5.Knocked out the guard in the basement.
6. Set the 3D printer going.

At this point I was still could have restarted and practiced my runthrough but I decided to proceed.

1. Downloaded the files.
2. Threw the target over the stairs.
3. Ran down to the basement.
4. Realised I'd forgotten to pick up the mask from the printer.

How did I forget that? Why didn't I just wait by the printer for the mask to be ready?

I'm two achievements from having them all. The Colorado escalation is strawberry floated, stuck on level 4. Going to wait until they release a new one rather than subject myself to it further.

So if I buy this game with the full physical release, how much content am I missing out on by it not including the elusive targets?

I can see what they were going for with making regular content that is timed to pull people back, but it seems kind of dumb to never have that content available again, especially when they release the game physically for the first time.

Not much at all. The elusive targets are a great but very small part of the game. And they'll be putting out new ones for a long time so you'll definitively have plenty of opportunities to try one.

Friday's elusive target:
