It was a mystery reveal. The stream started with the reveal trailer except the trailer garbled on transmission so no one knew what the hell the people in the studio were referring too.

:fp: christ. Well I'm just glad we're getting more Hitman and the sniper briefcase is back.

I hope they make a lot of engine and gameplay changes and improvements and it's not just a bunch of new levels. The sniper briefcase is a good start, but it really should have been in the current game to be honest.

Just hope as Warner is publishing it, they don't ruin it with greedy microtransactions and overly expensive season passes (eg. Shadow of War)
Really looking forward to it though, glad they've ditched the episodic structure and hopefully they'll be more areas in this one.

Sorry to bring this up, but I’ve just downloaded this. Will give a whirl sometime this week.

I liked these games but would advise buying them on sale as personally I don't get a lot of enjoyment out of replaying the stages different ways. After the first couple of tries it feels like you loose the freedom of tackling the task however you want. I blew trough the main campaign under twenty hours and could not be bothered getting all the unlockables and such.

Yep, downloaded last night and looking to start it today. I also downloaded Hitman 2 prologue, as i understand that you can play the original games missions within that wrapper (by downloading the "Legacy Pack") and benefit from the improved game engine. Has anyone tried this yet? Is it straight forward?

Thanks, just read through that. All sounds straight forward. It does not explicitly say that Prologue of H2 is adequate, but i have read elsewhere that it is.

You /lose/ the freedom? But the more you play the more variety in starting setups you get, and the more you know the level so the more you can try.

I would disagree and heartily recommend the first game at least (as I have yet to get the second), they are massively replayable even without getting into the other contracts and escalation mode.

If you download the Hitman 2 Prologue, it even lets you play the Hitman 1 levels in the Hitman 2 engine, without having to buy Hitman 2. Just get the Legacy Pack DLC from Hitman 1's in game store and it will download the levels again in the Hitman 2 engine, then launch the Prologue to play them with the improvements of Hitman 2 (like the briefcase)

Does it work with the one from PS Plus as it's not the GOTY version which was the only Legacy pack I could see and would have to pay for

I’ve downloaded Hitman from PSN and the Legacy pack as well. I got both for free too. I know my mate got it for free as well.

Worth a try. :)

I'm playing this and loving it.
I'm really enjoying just wandering about the levels and finding places to stash people I knock out via strangling.
