One of the best bits were when you dressed up as an engineer and made sure the jet fighter is in top notch. Asked Jasper Knight to follow you and explained him via the instruction. Bingo! Brilliant.

Couldn't see a Hitman 3 thread, but I was just wondering if anyone could clear up how the levels carry on from game to game. I have Hitman on PS4, and now I'm looking to get Hitman 2... but perhaps it's better to just wait for Hitman 3, and play the Hitman 2 levels through that? Do they end up being unlockables or DLC? Thanks!

With Hitman 2 you had to pay £9.99 to downloaded Hitman 1 levels (which had been updated to work with some of 2's new systems) even if you already owned the first game.

I imagine 3 will be similar but they haven't confirmed anything yet.

As someone who loves the game with a passion, I'd personally dive into 2 right now as it's insanely replayable. Then when 3 comes out, you've got an excuse to go through 2 again, finding new things you didn't find the first time round.

Ah right, so I'm not really wasting money by buying 2 and 3. I'll order 2 immediately in that case!

My understanding is that your Hitman 2 save will import into 3 as well. Hopefully IOI confirm the intricacies soon.

I never bought the Hitman 1 levels in 2 because I'd already played the game. They should have just given them to people who had the first game to be honest (although the save never transferred for me anyway)

Can't wait for Hitman 3, just a bit disappointed that if you by a physical version of Hitman 3 on PS4 you don't get a free PS5 upgrade. But you get a free upgrade digitally.

I didn't know this! I was going to get Hitman III physical on PS4 at launch. Now I might wait until I've bought a PS5 tbh.

For one of my current favourite series I've not got a good record of buying the games. With Hitman 1 I waited until the complete physical release because I didn't like the episodic model. With Hitman 2 I for whatever reason only played it this year after we got it very cheap in a digital sale (again though getting all the content at once even if it wasn't episodic as it still had DLC).

Did you have to pay £9.99 to play H1 levels in H2?

I got Hitman 1 when they did that free trial week in the spring and then did the exploit where I downloaded the first trial level of H2, allowing me to play and keep them in the sequel. I didn't pay any money.

Of course, I later picked up H2 for a tenner as well, but that was separate.

Pretty sure you had to otherwise I got ripped off. You didn't keep your unlocks though so I had to do Holiday Hoarders again for the Santa Suit.

IIRC you could download the updated Hitman 1 levels for free if you bought the Gold edition of Hitman 2.

Gonna be strawberry floating livid if the VR mode is PlayStation only.

Been enjoying the second a lot, and recently bought the legacy missions from the first game. So much enjoyment from the sandbox-like design and the various challenges it gives. I'm so ready to get stuck into the third game. It really does look great.

Pre-ordered 3 for the Series X. I have PlayStation for the VR, but I've got the other two on Xbox and I think some stuff can transfer through. Might pick up the PlayStation version later for just the VR if it goes cheap there, or PC if the PC version gets VR.

Easy Allies preview is glowing, but sadly also corroborates that VR is going to be PS exclusive, at least initially.

I've still got lots of the previous game to play, so I think I'll hold off on this initially, wait until its out in full, and hopefully gets VR support on PC.
