I think the TERFS imagine it more as a bloke in a dress saying "if you don't sleep with me then you're a bigot!"

For years, homosexuals or bisexuals had heterosexuals label them, decide what they were and what they weren't and have a monopoly on the definition of "normal" human sexuality.

It now smacks of people getting to (rightly) redefine their own sexuality, but then doing the same to others. Literally trying to pull the social equality ladder up behind them. The same people who say,. "it's just an excuse for men in drag to get into women's bathrooms or on a date with a lesbian" would presumably recoil if someone said homosexuality couldn't be taught and addressed in schools because "it might turn our sons and daughters gay". Human rights aren't dished out only when there's absolutely no chance of any wrong doing occuring, otherwise why would we all ever be allowed outside in case we all just murdered each other. There's previous little evidence behind it all bar ill-educated scaremongering and fear.

Though obviously it's not just the LGB community doing this, either. You can always bet on straight people taking an attitude akin to "look we've gracefully dished out some equality to *these* groups, just how much equality do you think we have left to to around?" People are constantly trying to pull that ladder up behind them.

The whole thing is a strawberry floating mess, and in years from now we'll look back on it all akin to when homosexuality was illegal or, worse, punished by the most horrific measures.

It follows the standard pattern for creating fear. Black men want to rape white women, gay men want young boys, Muslims are terrorists, gypsies are thieves, trans women just want to trick women into shagging them.

Creating fear works in those examples because you can find real examples to use as evidence. "Look at this crime, see how right we were!", while they ignore all the countless examples of every other group doing the same thing.

Just say you disagree with her views. It's too late for her to pull the license now since contracts will be in place for set periods of time, and JK throwing her toys out of the pram would be just what she deserves when nobody else wants the bad PR of dealing with her.

If WB really wanted to both give a big strawberry float you to JRR Kipling and get everyone who is interested in this back on board, they should public denounce her, strip all the potter crap out of it and make a new IP out of the game.

Maybe too late to pull the licence, but there could well be contract clauses in place that prevent the studio or publisher from saying anything openly negative about the universe or Rowling as owner of the IP, with financial penalties for breach.
