The only boss that caused me to stop playing for a couple of days! Such a rush of excitement and relief once I’d nailed them into oblivion though :datass:

If you don’t know/haven’t done so yet, you can make it ever so slightly easier by doing a little exploration in the immediate surrounding area before you enter the boss room, I won’t lie it didn’t make loads of difference though  Still by far the most annoying fight I did in the game.

I’ve already done what I think you’re implying, found it after about 10 deaths but it hasn’t made it any easier

I did say ever so slightly, like yourself getting rid of one made no difference to myself! I just kept on messing about with various charms in the end, think I had a couple equipped whereby enemies in your vicinity were damaged (a vine based one and a smell one if I remember correctly) and then one of the spirt ones where your energy blast goes through numerous enemies (handy if there is a group of them together, you can just spam a couple of spells to deal some more damage). Honestly the hardest boss in the game for me as it seemed so random, most bosses are hard but fair in my opinion so you can learn their attack patterns and then persevere but with the watcher knights I just couldn’t get their attack pattern down.

It’s because they have no pattern. The worst is when one rolls on the floor while the other bounces at you.
I’m sure I’ll get lucky soon. I’m off exploring queens gardens at the moment. Got so much money but nothing to buy. Need a new shop soonish before I lose everything

Watcher Knights was tough but also a real high point I thought, just the right level of challenge to give you that "strawberry float yeah!" feeling when you win!

Outside of the couple of shops in the opening couple of areas I can’t remember where the other ones are. I definitely had a chunk of luck when I finally beat them

Hours of gameplay with over 10,000 geo and I’ve lost it all because I have nothing to buy and didn’t realise I hadn’t killed the shadow to get it back. I’m feeling so deflated now

What’s in the distant village spider place?

Got caught by some crafty bugs, made my way out however, have I missed anything in there?

Got all three spirit things, I take it I can go to the end boss if I choose?

Done more exploration, found the hive which was fun

Yeah you can, it’s not the ‘true’ ending but it’s an ending nonetheless! Personally after 35/40 ish hours with it I was more than happy to call it a day, also I probably didn’t have the skills or the patience to get the other ending

I’ve just hit 40 hours, I know there are some bosses I’ve missed, the champion of fools and the hall of gods and I suspect much more. I’d like to level up my weapon one more time and than head for the end. I will probably return to mop up missed bits later.

When you finish the game can you resume?

I really should go back to this. Bought it in a sale on Switch and played it a few hours then got distracted by something else.

Yeah you can so you can get the normal ending, then take a break if you want before going back to find everything, best all the bosses etc (I can’t remember fully what the requirements for the true ending are without looking), I’ve thought about going back to it to try and fully complete it but I think the only way I’d be able to is with a 100% guide to follow to the letter.

Okay so the end boss was easy easy easy

74% completion, happy with that for now.

Anyone who stopped playing this game go back to it. It’s absolutely amazing

Steel Soul Mode looks insane
