**Finale Spoilers!!!** **Finale Spoilers!!**:-

A good episode but nothing too surprising, it all unfolded pretty sensibly although getting out of the building was very lucky. No news on the mole. The main scene was pretty low key which was nice. With Sauls wife heading for New York I thought something might happen there, maybe next season. Heading into next season with a clean slate and hopefully minimal family drama. Istanbul? Baby? The only sure thing must be Saul coming back to the CIA.

I too watched the leaked finale. Felt like the finale of the whole show, tbh.

Brody :( They finally went ahead with what they should have done in the season 1 finale. I still didn't want to see him go, though. Very low key episode. But it leaves us with a fresh start for what will surely feel like a completely different show next season. No Brody's, no Saul(maybe), no Quinn, all the major bad guys dead. Why are they even continuing? Oh yeah, it's Showtime. :fp: That was the perfect time to end the show.

Finale- "I know Javadi! Let me speak to Javadi!", Carrie screams to random Iranian soldiers. Admittedly I'm not a spy but I don't think this is how you keep a double agent's cover intact. A satisfying finale.

Finale

It was the right thing to do for the creative health of the show in long term. Still sad to see the character go and obviously losing Damian Lewis is a bit of a blow.

Quite exited for next season, they've given themselves a blank slate to restart on, which was best way to go.

Dat Sean Callery score at the end. He better be back for 24.

A good finale Carrie should have picked the baby over Istanbul and that could have been the end of the whole show. Better yet they should start season 4 with a whole new cast and plot, possibly with Saul as the only link. Won't happen though with those damn Brody's back :x

That felt alot like more of a series finale than a season. They really couldn't have let Brody survive much longer as it would start to get to 24 style ridiculousness. But it was a very good episode and be interesting to see how this total reset works out next season.

So, worth watching then? Haven't watched any of the season, and don't remember much of the previous one, but wondering what the general consensus was?

It was a regularly bumpy journey but the end destination makes me very excited to see where it heads next year. I'd say it's worth it.

A vast improvement over season two, and the last three episodes were among the strongest of the entire series to date.

Mild finale spoilers...

It's a pity there's going to be a Season Four, because it came to a very natural (and moving) end. Would've been a great way to round things off.

I completely skipped this season. I decided to read the season finale spoiler. How can the show possibly carry on??? Showtime. :dread: They'll make this the new Dexter.

I don't understand why so many people are having difficulty imaging how the show could possibly continue. The fact that Showtime have allowed them to essentially have a major reboot halfway through its lifespan says to me that they might have learned something after suffocating the creative team on Dexter. It was never going to end after three seasons, this is definitely the best possible scenario we could have hoped for.

The third season finale of Showtime’s Homeland set a new record for the series: Homeland had 2.4 million viewers for its 9 p.m. premiere and totaled 2.9 million viewers for the night. That’s the show’s biggest take ever.

Watched the whole of season 3 this week. The first two episodes were a bit weak but after that it was a great season I thought.

Finale:
When Brody was about to be hanged there was a motorcycle parked nearby and it and the rider looked identical to the one an episode or two previously which was equipped with a bomb and never got used. I was so sure that this motorcycle would explode and interrupt the hanging that it completely shocked me when it didn't!

What a season, holy strawberry float. The last 3 or 4 episodes were ridiculously intense and the ending hit really hard.

Gonna go against the grain here and say that was the best season so far.

First is still the best, I reckon. This wasn't far behind, though, and the final three or four episodes were arguably the best sustained run of quality to date.

Anyone notice the incredible similarities to 24 season 3?

Apart from the show generally being very similar to 24, I hadn't noticed anything specific to Season 3. What parallels caught your attention?
