How do you feel about Wii U after E3?

Anything to do with games at all.

I think Alpha's real point was that, even if the machine were £50, you'd get people saying they wouldn't buy unless it were £30.

But, yeah, you can't now pick-up the Premium Console / Kart 8 pack for £200 like you could at Tesco a month ago. But perhaps this pack offers even better value:

- Basic console (white, 8Gb), Gamepad, Wii Remote controllers x2, Mario Kart 8, Wii Party U, Nintendo Land and Just Dance (plus your choice of digital game via the Club Nintendo promotion) - £250 from Amazon. Click here to view.

Personally I wouldn't worry about the small 8gb storage space as any Wii U owner (includng Pemium 32Gb folk) should really consider picking up an external hard drive for the longer term.

+ Great system with some great games
+ I'm excited by the titles shown at E3
+ I have fun using the console
- Nintendo must introduce proper digital accounting
- Big third party publishers just aren't on board

I'll be in Club U for the whole journey of the machine  .

It's just the account thing for me that's holding me back at the moment. I don't like buying physical games any more. I don't care about third party publishing because I can play nearly all those games on my computer.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I don't know why it's taking so long but it does hold me back from some digital purchases and it needs to be resolved quickly.

I'm hoping it can't be too far away. The user ID (NNID) system offers 'logon' functionality, tracks purchases made and even offers discounts according to previous purchases, so it can't be too much of a jump to enable this for differing machines.

Always knew that two games would push me to buy one and they were Zelda and Xenoblade.

Will still wait for one as I don't see Zelda coming out until Xmas 2015

I thought, until recently, that the Wii U might be the first Nintendo home console I skip. But some of the games released in the past six months have made me consider it as one to consider in the future. Since E3, though, the Wii U as replaced the PS3 as my definite next console purchase. (Although it won't be for a while yet.)

Got one for Xmas just gone and dont regret it at all. Some great games on it and I have a backlog of Wii games to get through as well. As others have said the only big downside for me is the mess that is the eShop and the account system. If I could buy a game once and play it on both 3DS and Wii U Id be much more inclined to make VC purchases.

Excited for the fUture and enjoying the hell oUt of the games I already own. I have more than enoUgh to tide me over till Smash gets here in addition to my regUlar PC gaming.

Also, off-screen play is extremely convenient.

Please sort oUt the VirtUal Console thoUgh. Basically everything in this article.

Before E3 I had pretty much ignored the Wii U. After E3 and the Treehouse, there is one sat on my desk with Mario Kart 8, Lego City Undercover, The Wonderful 101, Mario 3D World and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. That is how I feel about the Wii U now. Might have to get one of the extended batteries though, it runs low a bit too quickly for my liking.

I'm tempted to trade in both my wii and 360 lite at some point, as I still have my gc and I just never play my xbox due to gaming PC (although I did recently pick up a tonne of games for a quid each from Game). Just so I can get in on the Nintendo magic.

Only thing that bothers me about current consoles, regardless of format, is how strawberry floating expensive the games are. Although I get that there is a lot discounted on the U at the moment.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."
