Check out Mr Fancy Pants here with his brand new car with its leather seats and its CD player (player, player, player...)

I'm still rocking a tape player in my car! :datass:

Either way the artist gets no money so I wouldn't worry about it

this is true
I should probably buy more CDs

There was a period when tape recorders were preferable to cd players in cars though, because of these bad boys:

I stream audio from my phone to my car via Bluetooth. Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube etc.

Yeah, I was actually grateful when I found out the car had a tape drive so I could keep using one of these.

Then phones decided to drop the 3.5mm jack. :x

I don't understand
Does the CD go into this thing? How does that work?

It goes in the cassette slot with the cable hanging out, the cable then connects to your phone/ipod's headphone socket.

Fair enough, thanks for clearing that up. So it's like before cars had aux connections I suppose.

I mainly listen to music when I'm taking the dog for a walk or cooking something. Playlists have never really been my thing as I'll always choose to listen to an album in its entirety before changing to something else.

Perhaps this betrays my age, but I find that hard to imagine :fp: :slol:

at the risk of boring everyone, i listen to mostly whole albums at home, either solely or while doing something low effort on the computer. playlists at work, while exercising, or doing chores. i used to listen a lot more intently, but i have less free time which i prefer to spend doing other things like playing games or watching something. in fact my biggest motivator for listening to an actual album is to play Pro Evo 6 while listening. i find whatever parts of my brain play that can do it on autopilot and i can jam along to the songs and focus on both.

I try not to play games and listen to music at the same time as the two become intertwined. Like if I listen to Bombay Bicycle Club, I'm instantly reminded of Civilization Beyond Earth and it's difficult to separate the two.

Apple Music via iPhone, iPad, MacBook, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV, Alexa Echo Dot

I have a free Spotify account that I use on PS5, I assume there isn’t but is it possible to transfer playlists from Apple Music to Spotify? I guess I will have to manually add them

Mostly Spotify, and mostly at work, usually between podcast episodes. I use YouTube occasionally for music that inexplicably is not on Spotify.
