Fibre to my building, I cut it down after my first 3 months to 150/150 as I couldn't download enough stuff to make 1GB worth it for the price they wanted (£60 a month, still almost less than I was paying BT before for a much worse speed).

I ran a test this morning and it was like 58Mbps via Sky.

That's a very healthy increase in speed.

My internet is around 18Mbps. It's adequate I guess.

The PS4 is only picking up 21mbs on its WiFi connection.
Might have to figure out a way to get a long enough ethernet cable to it.

This is my home connection. Better yet, we pay about 20 euros a month for it. Unlimited, obviously.

France really has its gooseberry fool together with this stuff.

Don't have much option to be honest - you get the provider that bought the contract for the building. We pay about 20 quid a month for this, and it seems to be fine for gaming.

Mines about 10mbs download and 0.8 uploads, been like it for years and huge downloads are a pain in the ass.

I think they use some kind of magic to work. Our wiring here is pretty old but they work fine, just plug them straight in the wall rather than into a multi-way as they can be fussy about surge protectors and the like.

EDIT You might want more expensive ones to get the full speed, I think these are for up to 100 Mbs, you need better than that.

So Sky has been awful for a while. Paying £50 a month for supposedly 80mbs. Struggling to stream on a device and get work done.
Sky keep sending me on loops to ' fix it ' for the past 2 months.

So looking for a new provider, currently looking at the m500 package from Virgin. Or should I replace Skys bogstandard router?

I’ve been considering doing this too, but every time I look into it, I read that certain kits are not compatible with the Plusnet routers, so I get cold feet. What have you invested in? (And which router do you have?)
