Due to the gym being closed and me working from home, I have found I have played a lot more. At the start of the lockdown especially, I was playing through games and staying up till early hours as I didn't have to get up so early, thats something I have not done in years!

I have also changed my gaming set up and re-connected my Wii and Xbox 360 and have been trying some of the old games on those to see what I fancy playing next.

Has the lockdown gaming for you guys?

I’m using a lot of my free time blasting through my racing game backlog. I’ve pinned all my racers into a group on my One X to keep me focussed on my mission. Simultaneously I’m trying to finish off Forza Horizons 2,3 and 4. I adored the first game on the 360 but for reasons unknown I haven’t sunk as much time into its sequels.

After weeks With the three games I’m pretty sure the third game is best. As much as I love the world of 4 and the experience of driving down streets i know (I bought the game shortly after honeymooning in the Lake District) the campaign is just a mess. The Lego DLC however is amazing as is the free battle royals ‘eliminator’ mode but i struggle to see it as a racing game. There are just no stakes.

The second game is ridiculously padded. Who’s idea was it to force you to drive across the map to access each of the game’s 168 championships. strawberry float off

Hard to say for myself, still going out to work, 5 sometimes 6 days a week so haven't had much more free time than normal and then I'd have been putting plenty of hours into Animal Crossing even without the Covid-19 situation.

I'm playing much more thanks to not having to commute in the week or see people at the weekend. I'm living my best life.

I'm maybe playing games a couple of hours a week more, at a guess. Monday-Friday is still the same, i.e. I don't have the time or mental focus to play anything at all.
On weekends I'm usually out all day Saturday, but these last couple of months I've been in all weekend, so have been playing an hour two on a Saturday, and maybe the same again on a Sunday.

I really haven’t been gaming much, but that’s more due to the facts that:
- I’ve decided to use my spare time to code my first game. (It’s a really simple text adventure but it does have a deadline.)
- I have Animal Crossing, which doesn’t really feel like ‘gaming’ so much.

Between them and a handful of other things, I don’t have much free time left!

 Truth be told it’s a present for my ladyfriend’s 30th and contains some personal stuff as a result. It’s also in R because that’s the only language I know that I have available and apparently I am a masochist.

So yep: bit niche for blogging about anywhere! :slol: If it works maybe I can start working on something less niche.

Aww  good luck!

If you ever do another project I'd definitely be interested in hearing how game programming in R goes! :P

Initially a bit less, now a bit more. Normally I play far more in winter than summer, but right now I'm only outdoors for a daily run.

Er, it hasn't. I am working from home so it's made no difference to me.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

As someone once said "over here we have a thing called work" and as such, my habits are the exact same.

Probably better than either Visual basic or Pascal, which are the only two I have any experience with.

I would have said no as I'm not on furlough, and work is a max of 10 minutes on my push bike away, so working from home means I still have the same times I stick to. But then I realised as they canned flexi time, I have 2 hours spare in the morning after exercise and dog walking, so I'm actually getting in a good hour and a half gaming each morning, which is something I've never done before.

I dunno, you could probably do quite a good Excel-based dungeon crawler in VBA...

Cities Skylines was a time sink before covid, and it's even more so now.

Yesterday i built a whole bunch of park areas thanks to me unlocking the parklife dlc.
