Probably over £200 (maybe even reaching the £300 mark) and I have played every game I've bought to death and play at least 2 vc games a day when i'm not at work (due to working a 12 hour shift)

I love the VC and so many of the unknown retro games. I simply don't sit around waiting for that big game i played to death before and that everyone else has owned and really wants, I enjoy the little games that I've never actually played before; getting to try things I haven't before - I have no interests in the likes of the big games, the pilotwings and secret of manas (probably because I actually own the original copies) but stuff like Soleil, Sunset Riders, Sparkster and the rare stuff they relase in Hanabi festival peroids

I love the VC

I picked up quite a few of the PC Engine titles back when the VC was first released for precisely that reason.

£0 for me. I did use the VC hack a while ago but even deleted all those games after I realised that I hardly have enough time or determination to play current games, let alone revisit ones I've played before.

Possibly not, Jazzem has been on more of a VC roll then me this year, so he could have surpassed me as king of VC (though FX thinks i'm more of the king of VD, so i'm in a winner in one way)

I haven't spent much on the VC, got a couple of cards when GAME had them 50% off when bought with anything else, so that makes it about £15 quid then.

Kirby's Adventure, Mario Bros - 1000 points.
F-Zero, Super Castlevania IV, Sim City - 2400 points.
F-Zero X, Yoshi's Story, Mario Kart 64 - 3000 points.

6400 points worth, however much that is.

Divide it by 133, if you spent £15 on every 2000 points that is, which means you have spent £48.12.

I would half that to be honest, I got about 4000 points from stars I racked up over the gamecube years. Best purchase I ever done, I've still got a bucketload of points cards somewhere, but I can't be strawberry floated to sort them out. I'll do it though.

I spent about 1000 points in total on Metal Slug and Bomberman '93. I can play N64 on my N64.

I've regretted pretty much all of it

This - although nowhere near as much !

And since often being disappointed I've stopped buying altogether. Perhaps part of the problem is the rather naff pad. I'd wanted to play a certain treasure game - you know which one - for so long - but I just couldn't get very far with the adapted controls for the wii pad - for me, only a very average gamer at best, it just didn't work.

(I know, I know, it's WiiWare...)

Have to admit this was a beautiful idea but the game length makes it no more than a tech demo - wouldn't be so bad if they weren't charging so much for it ! Maybe Braben will be rich enough to make a new Elite off the back of it !!!

Erm, yeah, far too much :)

A while ago I would've said I've not regretted a single game but I seem to be becoming more harsh a critic, and now dislike Streets of Rage III and Super Turrican for example. But I'm a big retro nut at heart and like Dante love trying out old classics I've missed out on, something the VC has managed to do a lot for me. Games like Adventures of Lolo, Story of Thor and Super Star Soldier are forgotten oddballs that I wouldn't have known of nor have played and loved were it not for the service. Plus there's games like Gunstar Heroes, Shining Force and Super Castlevania IV, games I always wanted to play and got the chance to thanks to VC. It's been a nostalgia vehicle to an extent as well (It had been years since I've played Toe Jam and Earl prior to VC) but I'm always playing retro games so unsurprisingly the VC has been a joy for me. Plus it's made me realize how wonderful scrolling shooters really are <3

I just wish they'd sort the darn storage out ¬_¬

Umm... not sure really... around the £100 mark I think(including wii ware). Possibly a bit more.

I've had my money's worth though, and am chuffed with most of my purchases. (Shining Force is worth £6 of anyone's money) There has been load of great stuff that I've missed out on over the years, and it's great to replay some old childhood classics (sounds odd, as I'm 17) too. It's great to have all the great stuff without faffing about with setting up the snes etc.

There are a few games that I haven't liked, but the storage problems mean I just delete them anyway. :P

The problem is that I buy some, and then don't actually play them for ages, there are still games I've bought last year that I haven't played yet. That's why I'm holding off buying games like Mario RPG at the moment.

Dante's actually spent less than I thought he would have by now, but I still can't wait to see his game list at Christmas.

The only purchase I have really regretted has been 1080.

After just a couple of minutes I decided that I couldn't be bothered to get to grips with how to land jumps and I haven't been back since.

Yeah it's rubbish. I stumbled across an original cart a year ago for £1 and took a gamble on it, and needless to say it doesn't hold up nowadays for me.

I got 1000 free points from the stars catalogue scheme, and bought 2000 points for £15.

Just downloaded Lost Winds and Mario RPG yesterday, and Streets of Rage 2 a few months back.

If I hadn't played most of the SNES/Megadrive games before, it would probably be a lot more.

Only TV Show King off Wii Ware if that counts as Virtual Console?
