I find it gets me better results which is good, and they do points now so every time i search I get points I can use to pay for Xbox Game Pass or Live Gold etc.

I assume so as OP says each player gets a nanomod not each tech.

I dont think it actually matters if we post seer results in thread because they're one shot so once you've posted your info you're a no more valuable target than anyone else. The danger is if a bot used a vig nanomod to shoot someone before they could use a virus scanner as they announced they had a seer power in thread before they used it :P

Is there a list of nanomods or are people assuming from other games roles?

I initially thought that but assuming the seer info is correct then that person will have gained a level of trust and so would still be a target.

Have asked to use my Virus Scan so will come back with the results.

One thing I have thought of, it might reveal bots but from the description I get the feeling that it won't reveal if you've scanned the Hacker. The way the description is worded specifically for bots makes me think it's a binary Yes/No response, and the Hacker would come back as a "No" since they're not a bot.

We have 2 hours until turn end at 3pm, so we should keep a vote tally. Not sure Moggy's really counts but for the sake of forcing it here is how I currently count the thread!

1 to kill Errkall - Moggy
1 to kill 10 - OrangeRakoon
1 for RNG - Tragic Magic

I don't like the RNG for reasons previously stated so I picked 10 at random. His new name is pretty machine like so I think I'm onto something B)

That doesn't seem random! Boo to you, sir.

I was joking about Errkal. He is a dirty banana split of a Bing user but I don't think he should face death for it.

I vote for a random kill, we don't know anything yet.

Turns out Errkal isn't a bot anyway.

Yeah, the points system is pretty good, especially in conjunction with Edge which I think nets you double. And Xbox Rewards got merged with that system so there's definitely a reason to use it if you're an Xbox gamer.

If you draw a new mod, I'm reading that you get it on the next turn i.e. from 3pm? Is that right?

Struggling to keep up with things as I'm out and about today, have we all got a mod?

I don't think I have anything of value to add other than that I don't see anything in this game that changes the usual day 1 position of having nothing to go on!

You get the mod immediately, but you can't use it (or discard it) until the next turn. Turn 2 is 6pm-10pm.

Speakers in the ceiling crackle. Apparently there is an old PA system in this building. A robotic, unnatural voice - you assume a very early attempt at speech synthesis - reads the below in a droll monotone:

(The following is a post from a player using the Broadcast nanomod.)

RANDOM TECH HERE POSTING USING BROAD CAST NANO MOD

THINK SMART TEAM. DO NOT ASSUME GAME IS JUST LIKE OTHER PREVIOUS GAMES SIMPLY BECAUSE WE'VE NOT BEEN TOLD OTHERWISE

OP DOES NOT STATE ANYTHING ABOUT DEATH ONLY THAT TECH TEAM WINS IF HACKER AND BOTS DEFEATED. NEED TO ALL APPROACH EVERY DECISION WITH MINDSET OF WHAT IS BEST FOR COLLECTIVE AND LEADS TO MOST LIKELY CHANCE OF TEAM VICTORY

WE CAN PRESUME BOTS AND HACKER KNOW EACH OTHERS IDENTITY OTHERWISE WHOLE GAME WOULD BE CRAPSHOOT. BUT LOOKS LIKE THEY CANNOT PM EITHER SO UNLIKELY THEY WILL BE CONSPIRING TO PLOT EVENTS. TRY NOT TO READ INTO APPARENT GROUP BEHAVIOUR LIKE IN PREVIOUS GAMES - WILL LIKELY BE RED HERRINGS

IF YOU LAND A HELPFUL NANO MOD USE IT AND SHARE THE INFORMATION! YOU WON'T BE A TARGET BECAUSE YOURS IS NOT A PERMANENT ADVANTAGE SO HACKER GAINS NOTHING FROM YOUR DEATH AT THAT POINT - IF ANYTHING YOU'RE LESS LIKELY TO BE A TARGET FOR A SMART BOT GIVEN THAT YOU WON'T THEN HAVE A GOOD MOD THAT WILL PRESUMABLY DIE WITH YOU (AS YOU'LL HAVE JUST USED IT)

WHY IS THE GAME NAMED THIS? RAMONES SONG? SECRET WEREWOLVES? THINK ABSTRACTLY - KARL LIKES CLUES

TARGETED KILL POSSIBLY BETTER AT THIS POINT OF THIS GAME THAN TRUE RANDOM AS DUE TO WEIGHTING OF GAME (NUMBER OF BOTS NOT KNOWN) IT MAY BE THAT THE RANDOM KILL IS CHOSEN FROM INACTIVE TECHS

PEACE

I am a bit worried though

I will vote for the RNG simply because it's better than voting to kill myself. Are there no other platforms?

So either that was one of them, or at least three people got this mod. My guess is that the pool of mods is both quite limited, and also weighted to favour the "weaker" mods (I doubt 3 seer or vigilante mods are given out every turn).

Updated votes:

1 to kill 10 - OrangeRakoon
3 for RNG - Tragic Magic, Moggy, 10

Is it best not to kill someone then if no-one dies?
