We won't know for sure until Mafro confirms it though.

Very enjoyable demo, really like how they've took the gameplay mechanics of BOTW and trnasfered them into the Warriors gameplay. The only issue I have is dat frame rate.

I'm really hoping the demo was taken from an earlier build and the frame rate will be improved day 1.

Narrator: it wasn't improved, and infact ran even worse than the demo

Was watching a YouTube series on the path everyone took on the day of the Calamity according to BotW and Creating a Champion. It’s a few months old so was theorising bits you might get to play in Age of Calamity based on information available before the demo dropped and we found out about the time travel.

As much as I enjoyed the demo, watching this series about what the game could have been, I’m a bit disappointed about the direction this looks to be taking as a whimsical side adventure of no consequence rather than a telling of the events that preceded BotW. I guess time will tell where the actually story goes but as of now I’m a bit apprehensive that it might be a missed opportunity.

As soon as the time travel moment happened in the demo I felt the same apprehension.

Still looking forward to it but not sure the story will be as enjoyable as it could have.

Reviews are out. All positive but say that split screen can take it down to single figure frames per second. Which is to be expected as it only just hit 30 FPS with one player.

Single figure frames

At that point that is a slideshow not a game.

As somebody who was only ever really going to buy it for the split-screen, I’m out - and suddenly a lot keener on the idea of a Switch Pro. :shifty:

When they released Hyrule Warriors on New 3DS it ran ok, but on the original 3DS it was a joke. I think when the next switch is released next year it'll have a fixed frame rate. It's Nintendo though so probably locked at 30 FPS when the rest of the consoles are pushing 120 FPS.

I'm getting this for Christmas. Musou games are my favourite genre and this will fix my need to grind.

I find it a little disconcerting that there is such a gap between the range of scores.
