This is now the first Switch game I’ve been excited for since Murder By Numbers in March. :D

Did not expect this, yet it just makes perfect sense. Not typically into the Warriors games (tho Strikeforce on PSP was legit) but hearing about how Aonuma's teams is involved has me more intrigued. The champions all look so fun too.

I'll definitely pick this up as I really enjoyed the first game on 3DS, and Fire Emblem Warriors on Switch.

Will likely leave this into next year though as I've got other things I want to play first.

What are these Warriors games actually like/about?

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

You're basically on a battle field with lots of enemies to bash through There's normally a strategic element where you need to work to take various points on the map and it looks like you'll also be able to swap characters around the field as you need. Very much about powering yourself up and battling through enemies.

Hyrule Warriors was a non-canon, fun celebration of Zelda with a story all over the place. This looks like it will be a much more cohesive story with more involvement from Nintendo. The type of game it is fits very well with the setting they've chosen.

Nice. Yeah, I'm primarily interested for the story aspect. I think I'll wait to see how it reviews and go from there.

I wouldn't expect some incredibly storytelling tbh

Dynasty Warriors has always had a fantastic story behind it being based on The Romance of the Three Kingdoms but it's absolutely not a story-driven game. It's mostly a screen of text before each battle and then mid-battle dialogue running along the bottom of the screen as events unfold. Hyrule Warriors was the same. There will be cutscenes but I'd bet on at least one of them being a map with animated arrows showing army movements while a voiceover narrates. It's not like Zelda is particularly narratively driven either - especially not BOTW.

Thank you! Thank you for also relocating my comment to the correct topic that I was too lazy to scroll down and find. I think I was an hour early. Seems to start at 2pm.

I’m so excited. Even though I just started the original Hyrule Warriors recently.

This looks like a lovely little appetiser before BOTW2. Very happy with how this is shaping up.

Some amazing shots in that trailer. Akkala Citadel in flames, Vah Naboris looking out over swarming Guardians.

Just got done watching the Age of Calamity Treehouse Live segment. Was on the fence with this before since I'm generally not a fan of Musuo games but this demo sold me. I'm all in now.

Full segment has been uploaded now:
