I'll give it a go later!

You have to spend the money you pick up to reveal the great fairy but my thought was if that money gets affected by the multiplier you'll pick up a lot more than you need to pay back.

(I'm betting chests aren't affected by the modifier though)

Had the credits roll last night. What an ending. And now plenty of other stuff has opened up to me that I won't attempt as of yet. I'm going for the recipes, getting to max level with Link, and repairing Terrako, which I'm almost finished with.

Such a great game.

25 hours in. Just unlocked the ability to add levels to weapons so that will help with my master sword. Finally getting to some more populated areas which makes it feel a bit more like the original.

Original Hyrule Warriors. This has a lot less enemies on screen. I'm not sure if I prefer the structure of this game or Hyrule Warriors, this flows a lot better and removes a lot of padding.

The lack of enemies and especially lack of ally troops is really noticeable, but its fine for what the game is I think. And yeah being shorter than the original isn't exactly a criticism!

It's not a short game is my point! There's still loads of content, just not as much as the frankly insane amount of content in the first game

I got genuinely annoyed with this earlier for the first time because of Zelda's light bow moveset:

I failed her training mission about 6 times, having to restart it from scratch once, because this moveset is apparently awful. I've no idea what I'm doing wrong, I tried plenty of different approaches with which combos to use and when to switch between illuminance (or whatever) mode. She just seems incapable of doing much damage to anything. Some attacks don't seem to cause any actual damage, only inflict the light ring effect. The illuminated moveset of X/Y/ZL+X/ZL+Y/ZL+B is just ??? in which attack is best to use when.

What really didn't help though, and was actually the cause of my repeated failure, was I KEPT RUNNING OUT OF ENEMIES TO KILL. I'd get to about 950/1000 with a minute to go and there would just be no more enemies spawning in. I even failed by timeout at 999/1000 because I could only find enemies standing around on their own for the last 30 seconds which was possibly the most frustrating experience I've had with a videogame in years.

Been quite distracted and haven't been on in a while. I'm currently in early Chapter 5. Where about is that in the game? I'd like to gauge how much main story there is left. Rather ask here then google it in case of other spoilers popping up >,>

You're over the halfway point for the story, so a few more hours and it will be complete.

I did that one a couple of days ago, and found it difficult. In the end I was spamming remote bombs and special attacks so I could avoid using the bow.

that one is tricky and i had to come back several times

i found the key is to just spam her special whenever you get a chance and get as many as you can without leaving any strays

Finished this tonight. Still a load of side things to finish and stuff to grind us at least 2 characters to unlock.

Final boss was a very dull design and the last few levels had more enemies but never really felt like a warriors game. Also the switch seriously needs a powr boost at his point. It can barely run this.

Overall I enjoyed the game and will keep playing. I presume it doesn't have an adventure mode like Hyrule warrior / fire emblem warriors? Which will massively cut down on the play time.

The last game did weapons and upgrades better. Each character and their weapon as a separate character slot was a better idea too.

If anyone wants a great YouTube video series to watch then I highly recommend warriors dojo. He basically explains how to get the most out of each character combo etc. It will change how you play and it's very useful. He's currently doing character guides for this but his previous stuff on the original game is worth a watch too.

Also worth a look is The Completionist and his video on fully completing Hyrule Warriors on the switch and the 1,000 + hours it took him to do everything including max out all fairy powers.

Chapter 6/7 character spoiler: King Rhoam is amazing :D (also Khoga is great too :datass:)

My opinion on Teba has also completely reversed - after getting his 5/6 combo (firing arrows from above) he is amazing, it absolutely tears through the weak point gauge

Now at 55 and 86% completion.

Edit: 60 hours, 99%. 100% locked behind finding all the koroks :dread: :fp:
