I want to know whether there will be flag planting.

My donation was on the condition that a flag made solely of Denster's face is planted at each peak for posterity.

I can't leave anything there, so I'll probably make a little pocket sized 'cade flag and take a photo at each peak.

Yeah, I was thinking it probably counts as littering.

But how come we were allowed to litter the moon? What about the butterfly effect? What if red and blue is offensive to aliens?

I've just realised this is in just over 2 weeks :dread:

I really need to step up my training. I'm really fit because of running/cycling, but walking up steep inclines is a different beast altogether. Must do more after work.

3 days to go and:

The weather is going to be strawberry floating awful.
People have been struck by lightning up Ben Nevis and it's got me sketched out.
Someone got trampled to death by cows on Snowdon last weekend
The leader of our group fractured his leg last weekend and can't take part
Another person is injured
There's now about 6 of us doing this

Wiv da angles now

Coming down it can be harder than going up - if your shoes are too short for you. You need to tie them really tight so that your toes dont keep slamming into the front of your shoes. Would be an absolute nightmare after just 10 minutes of that (it's a 2 hour descent).

Yeah, my boots are great thankfully but I'll be sure to make them tight around the top. I've had it happen with trainers before and it ended up wiggling one of my nails so much that it fell off a few weeks later.

I was gonna say that you'll lose a nail or two. Quite horrible what it can do.
