I ate a space cake in Amsterdam 9 days ago. Since then I have felt light headed and dizzy. It comes and goes.
I have been able to go to work and even went to the gym in the past 2 days.
But today I feel not so good. Had 9hours of sleep last night and woke up feeling tired and a bit dizzy. So I had some breakfast and 2 drinks.

Started feeling better but just now I went out to the supermarket and felt dizzy, lightheaded and weak. I had to focus to walk.
I know I missed lunch as it was 1pm but i never feel like this if I miss lunch. So i sat in my car and ate a sandwich and had to come home. I just don't feel I can go tot he gym :(

I thought I was getting better. I heard if you have never had any weed before then your body isn't use to it. I never ever smoke or do anything. Just the occasional drink on nights out.

I'm really worried and don't know what to do. In the past few days I have reassured myself this will go away and ignored it. But how I am feeling today has given be another scare and I just don't feel I can even go out right now and I am just feeling a bit of a chill right now around the back of my neck.

Update on what else I have felt:
In addition to the above. A few days ago I started to feel anxiety. I heard its the THC which caused your body to release it. I was getting really worked up and started to breathe heavily. Then I calmed down and let it go. But since then I have been waking up every morning with that anxiety feeling in my stomach like butterflies when your nervous.
I have been putting it off as the THC in the space cake that I ate 9 days ago. There is probably a lot still in my system and every now and again it is reacting. So I have been telling myself I am not really feeling anxious about anything its just the after effects of the drug.

You can't have your space cake and eat it as well. Now you've eaten it I expect you not to waste valuable NHS resources on your self imposed condition.

Nah, really you should go to the doctor just in case it's something else causing it.

If in doubt, go to the doctor, if only for the sake of pace of mind.

thanks I will try the out of hours service later and see if I can get an appointment. I guess even if I start feeling better I'll go anyway but right now I am just gonna rest up for a bit at home.
Will I be in trouble for this? Should be okay since I ate it in Amsterdam where it is legal.

Doctors aren't allowed to judge are they? It's part of the confidentiality thing.

The answer to "Should I see a doctor?" is almost always "Yes." If there's nothing wrong with you, you'll be reassured; if there is, they'll help you.

I don't know anything about 'space cakes' and I'm not a clinician, but chronic lightheadedness can be caused by things like anaemia, low blood sugar, imbalanced electrolyte levels, or hypotension. A simple blood test will confirm or rule out these possibilities.

And no, doctors won't break patient confidentiality unless you pose a serious risk to yourself or others -- they are only concerned with your health. :)

How big was it, what was the strength, have you taken marijuana before, did you purchase it from a reputable place...

It's one of the unfortunate aspects of human nature, we're so reluctant to seek help if it's something we'd prefer to be private. The thing to remember is that doctors have seen every type of illness by this point, nothing will faze them and they won't think anything of whatever you go to them with.

Not sure about strength but the size of a normal muffin. From a chain coffee shop called bulldog and no never before.
Just in the queue on NHS 111 at the moment. It said the conversation will be recorded and summary sent to my GP. God I'm so ashamed of myself.

Why be ashamed? Nothing wrong with a bit of hey hey. Just a bit of bad luck.

You've probably picked up a bug from somewhere that happens to have coincided with you eating your muffin. I highly doubt it's got anything to do with the weed.

If it doesn't seem to be shifting then yeah, go see your doctor.

Thank you
Just on hold whilst the lady gets some advice
She was originally asked me to go to the emergency room within an hour and have someone drive me coz I answered yes to feeling Heart palpitations. I quickly said no it was me feeling nervous and that I just want to see a doctor.
She's now got a doctor to ring me shortly
Thank god I don't have to go to a and e or have my parents drive me

I doubt a weed cake from a commercial chain will be that strong.

It sounds more like exhaustion, low blood sugar (you should never skip a meal especially at work, I make this stupid mistake all the time under pressure) or a virus.

You're generally more likely to get sick when you go abroad and your insecurity about the drug probably isn't helping with the anxiety. Best speak to a doctor and male sure you drink plenty of water, eat and sleep well.

My sister works for NHS 111 and frequently gets people ringing up for stuff like this, the other day someone claimed that they had no appetite and could only eat after smoking weed, they didn't want to go to the doctors because they thought they'd be arrested.

She had to explain patient confidentiality to them.

Well after getting some calls back from nurses they confirmed there was nothing serious enough to warrant booking me in to see a doctor today.
Instead they said to call my GP myself tomorrow morning :/

Nhs24 is a good idea in theory but given they're dealing with people who don't always understand medical terminology and doing so over the phone they tend to just send everyone to A&E or an out of hours service. Like someone else has said, it's probably just bad timing of having a separate medical issue at the same time as taking drugs. Played with anxiety already being an issue and it's no wonder you feel light headed. Nhs24 will probably send you to an out of hours clinic. Do that and get some peace of mind. I very much doubt after 9 days a space cake is gunna give you heart failure.
