That's just my personal experience though.

You racist bastard, ban request.

Where did you meet all these "antipodeans" if I might ask?

I agree, but the way to do it is to bring less developed nations up to our standard, not to force them into a bogus 'sustainable' future on our terms. The strawberry floating cheek of 'green' NGOs in this regard is frankly staggering. It's no wonder the Chinese and the Indians have just said 'strawberry float you!' to the West and developed their fossil fuel industries with vigour. Their children also happen to want excellent health care and dentistry, their populations, strange as it may seem, also want reliable energy and a stable industrial infrastructure.

When we can accept that progress is for everyone on equal terms - and that means fossil fuels for all - then perhaps we can start feeling as if we are treating LDN's 'equally'. Foisting inefficient 'renewables' onto poverty-stricken nations still struggling to achieve a decent life expectancy is tantamount to discrimination.

If they learn this stuff themselves and develop themselves then whatever, welcome to the first world. If they continue to be corrupt dictatorships then you cant expect more developed nations to just funnel money and technology into them, its just not responsible.

Just look at what happened with the Krogans and Salarians.

Needs more comparisons to Nazi Germany.

I don't know any black people (to talk to). Hard to believe in this day and age, but true.

nope.

Religion is an easy target.

we killed each other over much more than just religion.

race, nationality, ideology, resources, sexuality, its all fair game to kill some other strawberry floater over.

if anything, people wouldn't kill each other if they followed their religions as most faiths fundamentally tell you not to be knob and don't kill your fellow man, tolerance and such.

The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them in parliament.

Not even "Yes, I will have fries with that, thank you"

Or "I'm no hero, just take the money"

Nope, Polish in the local Maccy D.

What does 'come together as a species' even mean? The vast, vast majority of the human population that has ever existed have been nothing but useless resource sinks. Progress is achieved by a minority.

Besides, we've spent the last 500,000 years living in small, close-knit bands, isolated from other groups. Xenophobia won't just disappear and co-operation on a scale that I assume the OP is dreaming of just isn't going to happen any time soon.

Given your aversion to intolerance, I'm surprised you went for the Dutch. The Japanese might have seemed a far more appropriate choice.

Japanese society, with its ideology of homogeneity, has traditionally rejected any need to recognize ethnic differences in Japan, even as such claims have been rejected by such ethnic minorities as the Ainu and Ryukyuan people.[103] Japanese Minister Taro Aso has called Japan a “one race” nation.[104] However, there are "International Society" NPOs funded by local governments throughout Japan.[105]

They've been at it for centuries and still are. Japan has one of the lowest immigrant rates in the world. Wonder why? Anders Breivik, the Norwegian mass-murderer and far-right white supremacist, idolized the Japanese for remaining 'culturally pure' even in this age of multiculturalism. Funny how nobody ever really talks about Japanese attitudes to race and ethnicity.

Sorry Cal, it was just a quote from Austin Powers. I don't personally dislike the Dutch.

I know one. He tried to get me to go to church. I don't even know why he thought I'd be interested in the first place.
