It would make sense if we got all those benefits and were able to keep the current mod team to make sure the new members stay in line

They should just sponsor the server costs for here or something and link to us, best of both.

Question to Steve - If games radar made you an offer for this forum, what would your price be?

I've totally tried telling management a few times that it was a mistake to let this place go and they should consider floating an offer. :shifty:

I voted for yes. But only if Gamesradar also allowed that zebra guy and the guy with the chocolate website to be moderators.

What if they instead took over GRcade and used this place as their defacto UK forum?

I see lots of comments about us slowly dieing. Is that the case? Do we have any user stats to compare to when we started out?

Depends what kind of people they attract. And Falsey would have a harder time posting porn, so I would need to think about it.

I'd have no interest in going back to the 'Radar' at all. We've got a fairly good thing going on here, and while we have our problems at least there's no company looking at how they can monetise us.

As a couple of people mentioned before I wouldn't be averse to seeing the forum expand into creating it's own "Front page" so to speak. There's easily enough people with the talent to produce something about "Games + Stuff", at least on a small trial basis.

No-one would read a front page apart from people who are already registered here.

When this forum eventually winds down, I doubt very much that I'll bother migrating to a new one, so no I wouldn't go back to GR.

I won't go back to Future's corporate tyranny. No way Jose.

What was their reaction?

I'd probably just go where the herd goes.

Other than the funding side, there is nothing they have that is better than what we have.
What if they dump us again? I couldn't go through another night like that.
Mocky playing his fiddle as Gamesradar burned, topics disappearing, one by one, into the void.

I've only been here so don't have much insite into what things were like, but we have a pretty good community here and although the flow of new members is a bit low I think we would be better to try and increase that and build our own little corner of the web than go back somewhere because it means members.

Because we're doing such a great job of funding this place

I never got this front page stuff, who exactly is going to work on it? Why would anyone come here to read it?
