Come on, you can't blame Eighthours that you, with your limited vocabulary, have never heard of oerceiving...

I can never decide on X. Sometimes I think it's a wonderful thing, with the Sphere Grid, the turn based battles, Auron, the Blitzball. I really liked it when Tidus narrated to you, as well - it just gave it a more personal touch.
Other times, I remember how linear it was, how there was never a satisfying antagonist (Seymour aint no Sephiroth), how annoying most of the main characters were, the dreadful final few hours...
My favourite part of X was on my second playthrough, when I tapped up the best Al Bhed Blitzball player outside the locker rooms at the stadium. I counted down his "games before contract ends" and gave him an offer he couldn't refuse, real Terry Venables brown envelope gooseberry fool 8-)

IX being that low is just plain wrong. I'd have placed the first game higher as well, but that's just personal preference.

I enjoyed XII the most whether it is the best, I dunno. I've been thinking that due to the way you progress your character, i.e. using LP, you ultimately end up with 6 essentially identical characters separated only by their stats. But I guess this is a lot better than random encounters....

I've never played a Final Fantasy to completion but if I had to rate the ones I have played.
1. Final Fantasy X
2. Final Fantasy IV
3. Final Fantasy XII

I can't seperate 6 and 7 so they can be joint top. Then 10, then 5, then who cares.

Noone?

None of the main series have any connection to each other except for some names being reused. There's a character called Cid in all of them other than the first, Chocobos and Moogles appear in most of the games and the names Biggs and Wedge are used an awful lot as a reference to Star Wars.

X has a sequel, X-2 (urgh) and Final Fantasy XII is sort of linked to Tactics, Tactics Advance and Tactics A2 due to them all being set in the same place. And it also had a spin off called Revenant Wings or something for the DS. Final Fantasy VII also has a bunch of spin offs of varying quality... and Final Fantasy IV has a sort of sequel for mobiles, I think.

Oh, and then there's the entire Crystal Chronicles series, but I haven't really played many of them.
