Why is this a thing?

I am seeing it more and more frequently in headlines

"gooseberry fool Splitters 5 is Headed to PS5" for example

Why is it not "is Heading to PS5"

I'm hoping some of you intelligent chaps can help me understand why this has become an accepted form of English when it makes absolutely no sense.

It's like a grammar error that's gone viral and absolutely nobody has noticed, I find it kind of fascinating, but also like nails on a chalkboard :simper:

Can you understand what the author is trying to say with 'headed'? Then it makes sense.

I still find it unacceptable that Americans refer to biscuits as 'crackers'

Do they?

Yeah they have Graham crackers but other than that I don't think they use the term as Vermi is suggesting.

Calling everything a cookie is bullshit though

Americans can't say Graham properly, or Craig, Colin and various other names for that matter.

I wouldn't call this a biscuit.

It's not a cracker either though to be fair.

Bernard.

While I'm at it, their spreading of the misconception that Sega is pronounced anything other than Say-Ga. They literally sing it at the start of many games as if clarification was needed. If you pronounced it "segger" back in my old school you'd fall somewhere between getting a weird look and some of the more shitey teachers accusing you of thinly veiled racism.
