I've just completed this after playing it loads this last 2 weeks. Didn't know a thing about it before I started apart from its reviewed well. Really enjoyed it. Took me quite a while to get used to the combat, and I had to have it on easy, but still really enjoyed it. Great stuff.

It’s staggering that God of War almost won everything in the DICE Awards.

Well deserved though.

Yep, brilliant game (apart from the grind for fog and lava stuff at the end which I didnt bother with).

I didn't like the grind either, but I did like the timed gameplay element and the maze. But yeah, I left it incomplete because I couldn't be bothered grinding. A shame, that.

Just throw the game on easy for the misty maze and breeze through it. Also make sure your using the right armour.

Ta for the tip! (I think I had the best armour needed for the place.) Will keep it in mind when I replay it in 4K.

Am I correct in thinking that there is no way of marking the collectibles on the in-game map, whether it’s the ones you’re missing or already have?

I have one nornir chest missing, the one I need to fully upgrade rage, plus 8 artifacts and half the ravens. And that’s before tackling the Valkeries!

Would like to try and get the Platinum trophy, but without a map and a huge backlog of games, I’m not sure I have the time to do it without some kind of assistance! :)

Off my head if I can remember.

You can check the list which you've missing out on each area in the map menu, but you will have to find which one though. The chest will be opened already if you've got them. Hope it helps you.

Thanks - got the missing chest thanks to this, in just over ten mins of grinding! :D

Started this properly and it's even more stunning in 4K/HDR mode.

Finally got the Blades of Chaos and I'm enjoying it much more now.

The fight with Baldur on the back of the dragon was epic!

Think I'm nearly at the end now.

I’m nearing the end at the moment, and I can safety say that it’s not my GOTY 2018.

I enjoyed it yes, but not as much as Spider-Man or Red Dead 2.

Also I stumbled into my first Valkyrie battle by bad luck and I had to run away as I got a mauling in just two attacks. :slol:

I think the dev would be happy to be in and amongst that sort of company.

Phew, finished, with the platinum unlocked.

Valkyrie Queen is blooming tough even on easy. Must have took many tries but damn that battle is epic and tough. Imagine how tough it’ll be on the highest difficulty... must be a nightmare.

The only gripe I have with the game is the bloody grinding for rare items to open up chests and close realm tears, whilst getting slowly poisoned in a randomised corridors.

This would be in my top 10 games of 2018.

I really should give this another go. Started it, didn't get that far and left it for some reason and never gone back.

I hope they do a follow up to this next.

Probably using the same map, and access to other realms that the game says Odin has blocked access to.

Probably would fight against Thor, Odin etc.

Or the fact that the boy is called MASSIVE SPOILER READ AT YOUR OWN RISKLoki at end of the game.
