Just started this. Had to knock it down onto easy after that Stranger fight. I’m too old for such antics.

If anybody is fighting the Valkyries, make sure to lit eight fire blazers to get the special enchantment to cause 5%-15% less damage from the Valkyires.

I'm near the beginning too. I lasted a bit longer on the second highest difficulty, but had to switch it down to Balanced too. gooseberry fool's hard!

Don't know that I'm going to make it through the whole game. It's just so enormous!

I found this out too late

Finished the game now still going to try clear a few things up

One of the Valkyries that I couldn't beat, forgot her name but she was the one who summoned enemies, well just went back to her tooled up and she got about 2 hits on me no more before I beat her all without needing to drop difficulty

Now to be a cocky banana split with the others and rage when I get my arse handed to me

Anyone else had these issues when fighting her

Can't say for the camera issues as I don't really like the lock on in this game so just go manually, meaning they all frequently leave my sight until I 180.

The other ones seem like controller foibles as I never encountered them. Unless you mean trying to do runics bare-handed, which I admit to doing in the heat of battle and being frustrated at them not coming out more than once.

As for the shield: yellow attacks will break your block open, but not do damage. You can still parry them. Red attacks are just flat unblockable.

These issues only happened during the last Valkyrie fight

not letting you change weapons to blade, he takes them out and puts them back away
Camera losing her
Unable to preform R1/R2 attack’s despite them being ready
Her attacking through the shield attack sometimes

Strange, I don't remember any of those bugs, I do remember her being an absolute cow though.

Got up to getting the blades but totally lost interest in game...the fire burned bright originally but then my desire to play just fell off a cliff. Noticed CEX offering £35 cash so sold it on...can see that price dropping fast as more and more copies get traded. I’ll keep my save and may repurchase when price drops to around £15 which it inevitably will.

First off, I can see why you might drop away. The pacing hits a dead wall around that time and if you aren't fully on board with the combat mechanics and lore by then you're likely to lose momentum.

Secondly, no way is this dropping to £15 any time soon. The Last of Us is still £20 for the Remastered version, a full 3 years after release. God of War remains an extraordinarily good game, despite its pacing issues, and will likely be full price for a good while yet to come.

I switched to the digital version of TLOU 2 years ago or more when it was £11 on the PS Store, which was the price CeX gave me for the disc version at the same time.
