I'd done lectures and public speaking before so I think that helped but on honesty there were much more experienced comedians than me there and everyone was bricking it to a degree even the headliner who had been doing this for years , I think bricking it is natural you just kind of have to ride it out if that makes sense.

Very well done Kerr, I liked it, it's a solid routine, I really liked the opening joke.

I wasn't a fan of the rape/big girl joke tbh.

Good on you for having the confidence to get on stage though.

Also, your audience were lovely and polite. When I was going to the Stand in Edinburgh banana splits used to get ripped apart.

kerr, well played on setting yourself the challenge and then carrying it through. Bravo, man! As others have indicated, I, too, would have been bricking it in that situation!

Some of the jokes were - for my personal tastes - very rough. I reckon you could get laughs through your natural style and manner without going quite so deep into the darkness... but I get that others have different tastes.

Oh, and I know it can be rude to talk about appearance, but... your beard dang rocks, dude!

Really well done. You should be really proud for having the balls to that.

You looked like a natural dude very confident laid back approach - I would be stammering all over the place and you looked like you were having fun?

If it was meant to be a 5 minute set that you ran over on I think its kind of funny after all the debating whether or not you should tell certain jokes, the Madeleine McCann stuff kicked in at exactly the 5 minute mark

They were a bit harsher on some of the other acts but I was thankful that they were so easy on me, I had a few heckle put downs ready just in case but I really wanted it to sail as smoothly as possible. I was very close to being the middle point of the show which I think helped as they had warmed up but not got tired or fed up. I felt sorry for the last act as he was the very best of us and half the crowd had left during the intermission before him, he played comedy songs he had written on a keyboard, heck I wanted to leave as I had to be up crazy early but I felt bad for him so wanted to stay and glad I did as he was very good.

The act I had planned kind of kept morphing and changing since I first set out to do this, I had pushed the Maddie stuff to the back a bit to make some room for other stuff, after the Maddie stuff had pushed other stuff to the back but then time seemed to be working weird while I was up there and I didn't realise I had hit 5 minutes so I went with what was essentially an earlier planned set, it was at the point I realised I needed to come off that I was nearly about to tell jokes from the very first draft of my performance.

I just started spit balling ideas for the potential cooperate gig this morning but I want a word with them about if they have any issues with any particular subjects, before really getting to work on it.

I might be doing a short piece at a corporate thing on the 4th of December, there wobbling over a few things one of them is whether covid is getting worse so they want to scale it back or not do it. Also I might not be able to film this one.

After that well I haven't booked anything yet, I have been sent a list of dates in the New Year from the club I just did that they have said I would be welcome to do and I may snap them up on one or two of them maybe something end of January and end of March... I am not going to be one of those people who is travelling the country to be at a different pub or club every week, if I could do it once every 2 months while finding my feet and then move up to once a month id be happy.

I talked to the other comics when I was at the comedy club and some do a show like once every 3 months where as there was one guy there who was constantly at it, as soon as the show left he was getting in his car to drive to London to perform the very next night and then was apparently going from there to Birmingham.

Maybe let the people know that you're planning to move away from the low-hanging fruit of McCann based jokes and discuss something a little more palatable like accidental shootings on movie sets. Tell them that you stand behind Alec Baldwin, because strawberry float standing in front of him.

I actually like that stand behind Alec Baldwin line lol

Well Covid cancelled my short corporate gig.... not the first or last gig Covid has messed up, some of the stuff I wrote for it is Christmas based so I might turn some of that stuff into a YouTube video and upload it, but I am currently talking to the comedy club I performed at last time about doing a slot in January or February.

Signed myself up to a site for Comedians which apparently can lead to bookings and stuff so lets see how it goes.

I decided to use the jokes from my Cancelled Gig to make a Christmas Video which I have dedicated to this place and my work mates (The place gets name checked at the end).

Have to admit I wasn't the number one fan of your live gig but I quite enjoyed that cancelled Christmas set .

Not sure when we became 'Jay-Arcade', though?! ;)

Massively late to this, but well done!

The iPhone joke was great, and the improv about the police person in the room went down well.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately the local comedy scene has really gone to ground now due to Covid so no idea when I will get to perform again, it's a shame as having got over the stress of getting up I felt ready for round 2.
