There's no inherent problem with making Maddie jokes, but you have to appreciate how out of date such jokes might seem. I mean, I remember going on a 'Madeleine McCann Hide and Seek World Championship Tour' Otley Run pub crawl in uni and that was nearly 15 years ago now. You say that you're opposed to the 'easy run' they got in the media but the case AND the media coverage AND the media coverage of the media coverage have all been picked apart and analysed ad nauseam so unless you have a very fresh take on the matter it won't be anything that everyone in the audience won't have heard ten times already.

may i suggest having a standup set where you do not make jokes about rape, murder and autism? unless you are very funny and clever about those subjects, you will not be invited back

This whole thing sounds really grim.

Brilliant show that one. Acaster's 4 part Netflix special is also incredible.

I still need to watch this one properly but the 4 part Netflix special is one of my all time favourite stand up shows. I love the way they link together in little ways.

Whatever you do for your set (It's tonight isn't it?) I hope it goes well.

Never get me within a mile of doing stand-up so well done on at least having the balls to do it.

That entire set was brilliant, but the phrase "Wha's the matter, guys? Toooooo challengin' for ya???" has been stuck in my head for months.

Yep it is tonight, I need to be at the club at 7 I will probably be on stage around 8.30, going to be leaving the house in the next half hour as going to go for dinner out with the misses and then make my way there

Thank you for your words of support they mean a lot .... Your Klingon Gowron icon made me think of these words to live by as I prepare to step out on to the field of battle (The Stage).

I wonder how a room full of people are currently reacting to jokes about Madeleine Mccann and rape.

Is there any video footage Kerr? Sounds like it went brilliantly if you had an encore!

Did they know it was your first time?

Yep they knew it was my first time , I did 8 and a half minutes when I'd been given 5 ... And asked back for a future gig.

It's been recorded but not seen if it's any good yet , proberbly put it up in a few days.

Well done, knowing it went really well has given me a bit of a buzz so you must be bouncing off the walls. Nice one.
