Pretty sure that all new PS2 games work. Any one I've ever bought since the PS3's release, has worked.

consolegaming: Pretty sure Alpha meant his PS3 isn't.

One of the updates bricked alot of the newer games from working. Persona 3 on my mates machine doesn't work and yet my cousin can run it on his 60gb and both have the same firmware updates.

It is totally hit and miss now.

Hmm I have Persona 3 but I haven't played it in ages... I'm gonna go try it and see. :|

Fingers crossed for you matey.

Update I seem to be wrong as my cousin informs me that Yakuza 2 DOES work on the 60gb PS3(works in Gamestation and they tried it this morning).

Brilliant news, now does Yakuza 1 have to be played and completed to 'get' Yakuza 2?

I might pick up the original Yakuza and give that a go.

I'll get Star Wars when it's cheaper, too.

Nothing for me, once again. I'll maybe get Lego Batman eventually, but I think the next game I'll get will be FIFA 09 since I quite like the demo.

Unless I've missed something, LEGO Batman isn't due 'til October 10th.

Anyway, Force Unleashed (PS3) and Yakuza 2 for me this week.
