It really is a ropey name, isn't it? So unmemorable! I guess that the second line is pronounced "Phoenix" but in my mind I always think if it as "Fen-ix".

By most accounts it does seem to be decent; it's nice to get a new IP arrive that turns out to be better than anticipated.

Finished the story for this. I did enjoy it but it definitely falls foul of the Ubisoft open world curse of being too big and repetitive. There are just so many puzzles that are slightly different twists on the same pressure pad, arrow shooting puzzles you've seen a dozen times before. Early on I would have scored it an 8 but as it began to drag towards the end I'd say probably a 7, maybe even closer to a 6. It's a shame as there is lots of potential here. They just needed to make the world smaller and more varied...but then that could be said about most Ubisoft open world games from my experience.

How does this run on the different consoles?

I'm guess 30fps on switch but does it hit 60 on PS4?

Looks like BOTW but with more interesting combat and less mindless wondering.

Heard the Switch version has had another patch and the graphics look much better now, rather tempted to pick this up for Switch then nab a PS5 version later on down the line. As there's cross save ability iirc

It's nowhere near as Ubisoft open worldy as AC Valhalla, in fact, they feel like different genre's.

Fenyx gets Finnn's white hat and bue shirt. Phosphoros’ face is transformed to look like Jake. Also, one of the two unicorn mounts (either the Indika or Tyrian one) gets the multicolor Lady Rainicorn appearance.

I would say quite. Like other Ubisoft open world games I found it a bit bloated and repetitive after a while. Lots of repeating or very similar puzzles - although most are optional.

Started this tonight, so far enjoying it. It's very on the face with the comedy and character design. It's Ubisoft but a strange version of their usual world. Hopefully I'll get into it.

I enjoyed the opening area and the puzzles seem fun so far. Enemies take a lot of hits but I think I'll get to upgrade weapons soon. Also vibration on PS5 is very poorly done.

It does get quite samey as you get further along, i’m currently in the second proper area of the map (Ares) and it’s a lot of the same things repeated. It gets tougher too, well by tough I mean enemies take a ton more hits, you do get upgrades when you collect enough materials and thus you need to do a lot of the repeated puzzles.

Just picked this up for £20 on EGS. Will give it a whirl, seems like an easy chill out game.

Yeah spotted this was on sale on EGS and wondered if that would tempt anyone in. How is this selling in general? Seems to be getting quite quick discounts.

Got this for ps5 today. Played for 3 hours, and dull main character design aside, I like it so far.

I’m 28 hours in on this now, just doing the last of the 4 Gods before I will head off to Kings Peak :toot:
