Actually, I do find that my feelings are a lot more liberal concerning time spent online after a work out or cycle. I've had a read before getting out of bed, which is a good start to today!

If I could get Wikipedia into book form I'd be so content!

I find Todo lists essential. They're so helpful and serve as mini-targets kind of.

I've also set the target of writing five pages every, without fail. So far so good. It's best to do things/tasks early on in the day.

I've got it to the point now where if I don't write and/or exercise I feel absolutely sh*t.

This.

I actually have become addicted to it to the point where if I don't exercise, I feel all gooseberry fool and fat.

It's not so much an addiction as it is just feeling crap and disappointed in myself.

Having things pinned next to the point where the most procrastination could potentially take place helps too.

I'll check out those links and stuff later.

A thing I say to myself everytime I couldn't be bothered exercising is:

"Hold on a second here, Lance Armstrong came back from CANCER to win the tour de France like 5 times (or something like that) and you couldn't be bothered to go to the gym? Good one."

There's a brilliant part in the War of Art where Pressfield uses the Lance Armstrong parallel too:

Resistance presents us with a series of plausible, rational justifications for why we shouldn't do our work.
What's particularly insidious about the rationalizations that Resistance presents to us is that a lot of them are true. They're legitimate. Our Wife really may be in her eighth month of pregnancy; she may in truth need us at home. Our department may really be instituting a changeover that will eat up hours of our time. Indeed it may make sense to put off finishing our dissertation, at least until the baby's born.
What Resistance leaves out, of course, is that all this means diddly. Tolstoy had thirteen kids and wrote War and Peace. Lance Armstrong had cancer and won the Tour de France three years and counting

Again, I highly recommend the book.

They'll come hand in hand. Exercise gives you more confidence. It makes you feel better about yourself. You'll want to go out more and get some lady-friends.

Good stuff!

From a certain point of view I am doing pretty well, as I have the most potential for getting a lot of work done today...

I feel I really need to do something creative but just don't have the motivation to see it through. I have about 10 'great first pages' that I really liked writing and keep getting ideas popping into my head about carrying them on but just don't make the time to do anything with them.

I'm not under any illusions that I have a novel anywhere in me, and I rarely show anyone anything I've written anyway. Just the process of making something from scratch, even if it is just a few hundred words of a story that will never be finished, makes me happy. Yet somehow I'd rather browse the internet looking for funny pictures of cats with captions...

Best post, ever. You're not alone, fella.

Thanks. Knowing there are other people in this predicament all over the country is what makes this procrastiNation so great.

Ive been kind of wanting to go out more anyway. I mean i go to the pub with my mates and go across the water and such, but id like to go up to glasgow and go other places and stuff.

Speaking of going away. I'd like to go to America for the year to do my placement. I hope I do. Though I know I'll miss my friends alot. Oh well, it's only a year of my life. I'll cope. Assuming I get to go ofcourse. I'd also like to hit Japan. Language barrier COULD be a bit of a problem.

I love to read about Current Affairs and History, so wiki and other articles are my main vice.

I know what you mean. I find the easiest way to do this is to reflect on all the stories you've heard about stuff you've missed because you just didn't feel like going out at the time. Next time around, kick yourself and ask "What if I have a really good time?". As long as you're in a good mood you should enjoy anything, unless someone's a complete twat to you. In which case, seek different friends.

Same, I haven't slept since 4pm yesterday. That's mainly because I got 4 hours sleep at this festival before playing this gig the next day, so I slept for 14 hours and wasn't tired tonight (I am now obviously). But yeah, I'm so tired of missing big parties etc. just because I feel down, tired or too hungry (poor appetite until I realise at like 9pm). I missed a big house party in my own town with loads of people I will likely not see for ages from secondary school (as I'm moving to Surrey for uni), and I just sat at home doing nothing! I think I spent all night playing with Reason synthesisers.. which while not boring and mildly creative.. why? Apparently my mate didn't leave until 9am so I literally stayed up all night playing synths during probably the last big party my mates will have in quite a while. :? Epic fail.

Actually this reminds me how crap I'm being. I'm going to go eat something now. Ciao.
