Incredible Crisis #2
New topic! New situation!

Situation You are eating your breakfast when suddenly there is a massive break in the space time continuum! An odd side effect means that the world no longer has room for all of your videogame systems. It's an Incredible Crisis!

Action You have to choose one of your videogame systems that will be lost forever!* Whether you have one gaming system or fifty... one has to go. Now! Decide now!

You know there is a crisis. You know the situation. Deal with it!

* If you have more than one model of the videogame system that you choose, they all go!

The Game.com it's an interesting curiosity but it's ultimately a pile of poo I wouldn't recommend anyone look for.

If that doesn't count as it's a handheld the my Odyssey 2 again an interesting curiosity but I could see it go.

Reluctantly... the SNES.

It's lurking somewhere in my loft and suffers from some yellowing. I do have some SNES games but I haven't looked over 'em for a few years now and, whilst I do like the system, it doesn't quite hold the same memories for me that the Mega Drive does.

Man, this Crisis was a tough one!

The game.com counts, kerr! I'd imagine that, yeah, it probably doesn't have too many classic games that you'd want to return to. It's now lost in the space time continuum break!

Oh! And you have an Odyssey 2? Wow! IIRC the original was one of the first mainstream gaming systems in the US. Will go check this out :-).

Of the 2 gaming systems I currently own, it's goodbye to the 2DSXL that I bought and barely played, and keeping my PC.

Dang, Knoyleo, it's tough to to see your 2DSXL get sucked up into non-existence. Hard choices have to be made during an Incredible Crisis, though, and it's good to see you step up to the plate :toot: .

Yeah the Odyssey 2 I have is a European model so it's under a name something like the Philips videopac G7000 it's easier to use the American odyssey 2 name

As for the game.com I only have 3 games for it, lights out, batman and Robin and some driving game I can't remember the name of, none of them are great lol.

The OG Xbox One I guess. Kinect aside I don't really have any use for it anymore save for being a second console for the kids to use. Backwards compatibility makes this an easy choice.

I think I could ditch my Wii, (I'm guessing the Wii compatibility mode of Wii U also gets destroyed).

I think I used the Wii compatibility mode in the Wii U about once, so I can do without it I think.

I can't think of anything essential on the Wii that hasn't been remastered or superceded. That's probably doing it a disservice, but probably best not to dwell on it, now it's gone forever and everything.

Weirdly, I am about to get rid of my real 2 Wiis.

Okay, mhtl, your OG Xbox now no longer exists! it feels harsh but, hey, you had to make that decision!

Lime wrote:I think I could ditch my Wii...

I like your style, Lime - no hanging about... straight in there... a calm head at a tough time.

Strong evidence that Incredible Crisis is already influencing the real world! :o .

I clearly didn't set tight enough rules :x . I know it's a crisis situation and time is tight, but come on! Victor and Tom have clearly been overwhelmed!

Heehee! I just *knew* you were gonna oust the PS4, Jen! Whatever could go wrong with your console, did go wrong! But, hey, you've now benefited from Incredible Crisis :toot: .

Of those I own then the Dreamcast. It's always boxed up and I have a DC emulator on the PC. :slol:

The PlayStation classic, and not just because it's rubbish.

I initially bought it to emulate loads and loads of games, and then I got scared of doing that and so didn't.

So, it is a monument to my own greed and also cowardice. Send it into the vortex.

Probably my Atari Jaguar with its single game (Wolfenstein). If I give that up can the vortex give back my 3DS that I lost in its carry case with all my favourite DS games?

You have spoken, Gem... and your Dreamcast has gone.

>>> Plot twist! <<<

Your DC games go, too! In this Incredible Crisis, your choice means that the system goes and the games go with it. It's an unfortunate occurrence but, hey, this is a crisis situation.

Crumbs! Your fine writing portrays a scene of death and destruction; of love and war, Abacus! You have clearly struggled with this decision but have emerged a stronger person.

Dowbocop wrote:Probably my Atari Jaguar with its single game (Wolfenstein)...

Dowb, you were quick to choose and the Jag has gone. I was intrigued by your next words...

A crisis can be cruel and, alas, at this time there is no way back for your 3DS. However... never let it be said that I have a heart of stone. Your wish has given me an idea for a future Incredible Crisis. Dowbocop, you have - seemingly unwittingly - set in motion a new path of fate!

Neo Geo Pocket Color, I only have one game for it (Samurai Shodown) and the screen is far too dim to see in most lightiing conditions.

You made a strong decision there, Ironhide, and it felt like there was no room for a soft approach in your mind! Okay... BLAM! The Pocket Colour has gone!

I've never tried that system but I do recall seeing these delightfully super-chunky game cases on shelves; I was tempted but stuck with my Game Boy Color.
