This was my concern. Say for example we went for something obvious like PREEZY GANG (PG) and Preezy gets picked as a suspect. It could become a consensus in thread to make PG the majority vote to determine whether it is a double bluff or not. This would mean we lose out on a chance to gain points by correctly predicting his tribe, or at least without potentially giving away that we are PG ourselves, and when he gets put up as a suspect again we've lost our advantage as we still only know one tribe he's not part of, while everyone else now knows two (ours and their own).

Alternatively, everyone could assume it's way too obvious and must be a bluff meaning they rule out Preezy being part of PG, which again diminishes an advantage as other tribe members are then more likely to guess his tribe correctly and gain points.

Those were just my initial thoughts anyway.

EDIT: Actually you only get voting points if you vote correctly and it's the majority vote so the tribe is actually revealed that time. That may change things, struggling to think through the strategies for this game to be honest

My current thought is avoid a name like this to avoid accidentally tripping up because I can't think it through properly!

I'd rather just go for something funny than try to game it, but I'll leave the final choice to someone else.

Someone should take the lead and pick our team name. I'm about to jump on a flight, so will lean for Vigilantes in lieu of other options, but I will need one of you to decide and confirm.

I'm happy with "Vigilantes". It's a funny but neutral name. (Will be even funnier if someone else picks Werewolves or Vampires or whatever!)

In retrospect, while it was a fun idea to play mind games with our name choice, I agree it would need a bit of a plan behind it which we don't have right now. (Otherwise, as Saw points out, it could backfire.) By contrast this is a safe and easy option - I'm totally fine with that and it seems like everyone else is too.

(Would be very funny to go with Anime Crew or whatever but unfortunately it would definitely implicate half of us right away. )

Yes sure will PM Dan shortly. I'll just go with Vigilantes as it seems everyone is happy with that, will leave it 5 mins before messaging so if anyone has any last minute objections post them now.

EDIT: PM has been sent.

Vigilantes is fine with me.

Danny Dyers Chocolate Homonculus would have been great though.

It would have been funny to make people post that every time they were accusing people.

We should have been called "A very naughty boy" or variant of, and so accusations would be "I think Roonmastor is a very naughty boy".

Worried that several of us are fairly near to each other in the player list, reminds me of that game where whoever was running it forgot to randomize the player list and everyone with special roles got grouped together

I'm still not really sure I understand the rules here. Hopefully if we get one day down it'll make sense once I see it all happen. :shifty:

Whats the plan of action for when any of us are suspected of being Tribe Vigilante?

Throwing under the proverbial bus is a viable option for the greater good of the tribe.

So I think the strategy for lockinh down who is from what tribe is to watch their voting behaviour on who they are voting against and for what tribe mid week. You won't score points voting incorrectly so there is no benefit to vote someone as your own tribe...except to make it tough to track you.

So it might be worth each of us voting for Vigilante at some point to hide that trail, and do so relatively early before others call that strategy out in thread.

It may also be worth choosing one tribe you won't vote for to pretend you are that tribe.

I don't understand how kill and save and safety all work yet, so that might impact the above strategy.
