I think it's animation as a whole.

When I watch a film or whatever with real actors in I can care about characters and feel emotion towards them. I can't do that with animated characters. Yes I know it's bizarre and no I don't know why this is.

Watch Watership Down, if you don't feel even a slight pang of sadness then you're either autistic or heartless.

I really enjoyed it, although had hyped it up so much in my head I think I was very, very, slightly disappointed. Perhaps it's testament to the film that the main thing I was disappointed in was the length; it felt so short to me! Had hoped it would go on and on, through slightly older age at least.

Would have liked to see inside other people's heads more frequently too. The dinner table scene was magnificent.

I saw this earlier with my other half.

Very touching film, though I'm not sure how much of that was relating Riley to my own child. It's made me more aware of the fact he's generating his own memories and attaching them to the feeling of being happy or sad.
Missus was in tears by the end.

Funny thing though, we were walking out the cinema and my missus said "Did you cotton onto the fact that Riley's mum and dad aren't her biological parents?"

Apparently: Riley had blue eyes and both her parents have brown eyes, which - according to the missus - isn't possible.

Bit odd if they did shoe horn that in and not mention it.

Anyway, lovely film and I want to seen it again.

that's just a myth,it is possible for a child to have blue eyes when both their parents have brown eyes. But point out to her that's it's also just a cartoon film and real world biology doesn't apply ;)

Fantastic film, very emotional (I don't have kids), very funny. Would recommend.

Second. Saw it last week for the first time. Definitely a high tier Pixar effort for me.

Late to the party but this is possible.

It's impossible for blue eyed parents to have brown eyed children though, so maybs she got mixed up.

I think the more important question is why does Riley have emotions of both genders?

Naturally, tumblr is all over it.
