Jawa is probably partying with the parquets as we speak.

This is an outrage against the natural order of the universe.

It's pretty sad that Intellivision must be so desperate for funding that they've sold their brand name and their portfolio of games.

But, hey, Amico lives! Kind of? I'm guessing that their new company name will be along the lines of Amico Corp. I gotta say, though, that even I am struggling to imagine that an Amico console will actually arrive now.

Amico as it originally existed needs to be consigned to the dumpster of history. I also think the brand name is far too tarnished amongst the gaming community to ever really be able to salvage.

Given it's history though, Intellivision deserves to survive, even if it is simply as a brand.
What I think would make more sense would be for Atari to put out a system explicitly designed to play older retro games. Think the Evercade VS but with Atari branding, and an online storefront.
Something with scope for smaller indie games to be published on as well.

Make it handheld, give it a dock and you've got Atari Lynx III
