That was fascinating. I was convinced it was nonsense up until the moment he describes how each individual prisoner still has a 50% chance, but the chances are no longer independent.

The Canary Islands are not named after the bird. They're actually named after dogs. Their original name in Latin is "Canariae Insulae" or "Island of dogs".

The London train service just for dead people

Another way to solve the problem of burying the city’s dead was the London Necropolis Railway.

From 1854 to a special service of trains from Waterloo transported dead bodies to a Surrey cemetery.

Still chilling but certainly practical.

Trains ran for nearly 100 years until the London Necropolis Railway Station suffered heavy bomb damage in 1941.
