Saw this tonight. Loved it for the most part. Second half more so than the first. Soundtrack and visuals were strawberry floating incredible. The love conquers all message was corny as strawberry float however and I rolled my eyes so much at Anne Hathaway's speech.

We should have just made a new thread purely about Christopher Nolan as to not nearly derail this one

The sam thing that goes on in every thread about a Nolan film.

It's like Inception: Cool concept, fascinating to think about, not a great film.

Well, I liked it a heck of a lot. That Hathaway speech sounds like an alien trying to describe the concept of love - and failing horribly - but it worked for me. I was even happy to go with it at the end, though it asks for a leap of faith not everyone will be willing to make.

If at all possible, you have to see it on IMAX. I could actually feel the sound in places. Zimmer's score is (monu)mental.

Despite its flaws, I'd strongly urge people to see it. It's not perfect, but it's bold, brave, ambitious and absolutely designed for the biggest screen and the loudest sound system possible. A really powerful experience.

Yeah, I was going to mention the sound, from the beginning it was immense. Not sure what it'd be like not on IMAX, I guess you wouldn't quite get the same effect.

The sound mix isn't great in regular cinemas, dialogue is often drowned out.

Saw this last night, loved it. IMAX is amazing. Dead loud.

Saw it tonight, liked it though I think I lost it completely at the dimensional shenanigans.

Thought it was hilarious that;

it went all Homeland Series 3 at the end, McConaghey only giving a gooseberry fool about one of his children. Bit harsh on the boy

Solid 10/10.

Just such a strawberry floating epic film. Pretty much everything I could hope for or want out of a film all put together. Not had a film leave such an impact on me after walking out of the cinema in ages, every time I have moment to myself I start thinking about it.

The Imax was brilliant too. A mate commented that he felt like he had tinnitus after walking out, which I'd say is a good thing.

Just watched this at the imax.

Not sure what to think. I could see the fact he was the one to move the books and gooseberry fool from the point they start talking about dimensions and time dilation. Just wasn't sure how they would go about it, and I don't think I like it but the visuals were pretty great. I like a lot of the concepts, but I'm not sure if I enjoyed it overall, but I was mostly entertained, and moved a few times. It's an odd feeling. Maybe it was too hyped in my head since I really like Christopher Nolan's stuff.

I'd say 7/10, it's high science fiction, which I like but can be a bit dense in some places. Those robots were really awesome though, I liked the idea that they had human personalities but look nothing like us so they don't have an uncanny valley effect on the people.

If you want some more background on Dr. Mann, they did a comic about the Lazarus missions (spoilers)

An incredibly entertaining film. I am also thoroughly enjoying the Nolans work of late so I am hoping that they keep this high quality up with their next film which I am already looking forward to.

Bond 25, BELIEVE! In a perfect world he wouldn't write it himself though, which may be an issue if he wants the job.

He shouldn't write it as he'll include some references to time travelling which is a no-no. But directing he'll do a great job like he did with Batman.
