Is Chris okay?

He's just deactivated his Twitter and has a status as "I might as well be dead" and "No-one would miss me".

Anybody here in contact with him?

I don't think he posts here anymore, but might be an idea to PM someone he might be in contact with, like Eighthours?

Hope he's alright.

He does still post occasionally, IIRC. Hopefully he may see this and let us know he's okay.

I seem to be noticing a lot of people suffering from varying degrees of depression recently - it's very worrying.

Videogame journalists appear to be quite a close bunch on Twitter though so hopefully somebody has already noticed and called him.

I'm okay, thanks. Just a particularly rough day. Thanks. I'm sorry for causing alarm. x

Glad to hear you're okay, even if you did give me a bit of a stress rash just then.

It's good to hear you're okay, Chris.

We have a thread for sufferers of depression where some people (including myself) find it helps to vent, or just make and receive messages of support and encouragement. I just wanted to let you know in case you find it helpful. If there's ever stuff on your mind that you need to unload it's a great place to do that.

I'm glad to hear you're doing OK, but to me you'll always be the Hero of Canton.

You journos don't have a half hard time of it on Twitter eh? ;) Sorry for telling you to reinvent yourself the other month btw.

Chris, keep your chin up, dude. I enjoy reading your articles on videogaming and stuff like this demonstrates that you have a whole load of talent.

"To vanquish without peril is to triumph without glory." Although you quoted these words rather than saying them, they perhaps strike a tone. Live to fight another day, man.

rudderless is HoC?

I wonder if half the old timers are still here but I've just not spotted a name change.

I will admit when I see Chris's name I automatically think HoC. I do forget that he's Rudderless sometimes. :D

But yeah, hope everything's cool man.
