Is it weird to go to the cinema by yourself?

I went to see Justin Bieber movie by myself. Only one in the cinema 8-)

I would be so embarrassed.

I think it is usually weird. But under some circumstances it isn't.

As others have said bit weird in the evening when its full of couples and gooseberry fool but during the day when there are about 3 people in the cinema I don't see what it matters.

A little, yes. For me half the cinema experience is talking about it afterwards on the way home; go on your lonesome and you can't share the experience.

The only time Ive ever been by myself was when I went to watch Matrix: Reloaded and my 2 hallsmates went without me and I badly wanted to watch it (to share the conversation) so I went alone.

As if sitting by myself in a packed cinema wasn't bad enough (and moving to let a couple sit down) I was the only person who waited for the post-credits Revolutions trailer. The cleaners kept asking me why I was still sat there when everyone had gone.

Never again.

I watched Harry Potter 7 pt.2 and Transformers Dark of the Moon alone. If I have to watch something alone I always pay for the premium seats right in the centre of the row at the Odeon because everyone else is too tight to pay the extra so usually have a row to myself 8-)

Well except for HP, had to sit next to 2 girls :fp:

Thought the girl sitting to my left was with her boyfriend. Till the movie ended and they got up to leave.

Generally, no it's not weird. Shouldn't be a romance though. And comedies are often better with other people.
