It's not because it's a Sony exclusive otherwise countless others wouldn't have mentioned Resistance 2 would they? Now shush.

You are easily the most retarded PS3 fanboy I have ever seen.

PS3 is great, love it in fact all people are saying is this might not live up to expectations not bashing it with the shitstick.

We got to play rounds on both small and large maps, plus modes like Assassination. I'm happy to report that it was fantastic -- multiplayer felt great and was tons of fun. The available weapons were nicely varied and all felt substantial, the map designs were cool (with a good mix of open and confined areas, staircases, and windows), and there was a fair amount of strategy, such as placing sentry guns in key locations. I had so much fun playing that it was hard to pull me away to let others check it out.

Could be GOTY then :)

Sequels to bad games are rarely any good so I fully exspect Killzone 2 to be bad or average at most. Resistance 2 is the PS3's main hope for a good exclusive shooter.

So average score of Killzone on metacritic is 70%
On gamerankings it's 73.3%

You would hope that they've learnt from that and Killzone 2 will be much better.

The experience equates to that first time you stormed the beach at the beginning of Medal Of Honor: Frontline, or that moment following a battle in Bad Company as you glance back at your handy work to see smoke, fire and holed buildings. You did that. You are a war machine.

Atmosphere seems to be Killzone 2's biggest success. It has it in spades. The game's controls, missions and pacing all feel very familiar, but it's all done with such panache that you can't help get sucked into Guerrilla's compelling vision of future war

This will murder Resistance 2, no doubt at all.

what I don't get about Killzone 1 was everyone previewed it and the hype was huge nobody seemed to notice how buggy and the bad things in the game.. PS3 mags called it a Halo killer, kinda left alot of people following the game dissapointed when at last minute, why didnt any review people notice how bad it was until it was practically released.

It might have had a review embargo.

Plus, the developers may have promised that the bugs would be gone by final release.

Well I'm not hyped about it at all to be honest. Only cos the first one was universally panned in the reviews. Left4Dead is the only FPS that has my spidey senses tingling!

Where are you getting that from? Examples, before you made that post?

When did receiving an average rating of 73% equal being universally panned? I'm not going to pretend I've read every one of those reviews, but I've seen plenty and it's almost universal that the original was a good game with potential marred by technical problems and over hype.

I remember thinking when the first actual gameplay footage came out : "Did that guy just spent 5 minutes of the demo pressing a button, firing at an exposed area on a lightning cannon, going back to the button after the exposure closes and repeating the cycle 5 times?" Yes, yes he did.

As graphically stunning as this game is, it's always looked a bit like an early noughties shooter in slowmo, gameplay wise.

Next.

But then you probably think Halo is gooseberry fool, don't you?

Anyway, I did say ages ago, along with several other people, that I have no idea why K2 has such hype - the first game was a looker, but pretty dull. I will happily be proved wrong, but I bet I won't.

I don't know about the critics, all I know is I went into the game with a very 'meh' view of all the hype and was still disapointed. Couldn't even be bothered playing through after the first couple of parts. Maybe it got better later on, but I assumed the rubbish controls would remain a problem throughout and so spared myself the misery.

I had no problems with the controls, the whole game was slower and grounded in reality which was a bit of a shock for those raised on Quake etc.

the face they've only showed off ONE level, previewers said it's not that good & they kinda doing the embargo thing again makes you wonder where all this hype is coming from :(

They have actually showed two levels, Pyrrhus and Corinth River. Do you expect them to show off the whole game before release?
