In New Zealand, theres lots of US tv shows, Flashpoint, CSI, Lost etc etc

But, it seems to me theres not very much British ones, The only ones i know of, (that aren't reality ones) are Dr Who, Torchwood (which both are are pretty good) and Coranation street (probably spelled wrong since i don't watch it)

Since 99.9% of you ARE Smelly old British, is there any other good British TV shows? (im talking about Dramas, sci-fi etc)

Spooks and Dr Who in the drama/sci-fi vein. But it's quirky comedies where we Brits shine.

The Dog Show is alright. Focuses too much on dogs though, could branch out a little.

Bit of a radical move?

Not very faithful to the core audience, if you ask me. More catering to the casuals who are yet to be lured in.

Thinly veiled Nintendo 'joke'.

The problem with New Zealand TV is that you can get multiple versions of the same show (UK/US/Aussie/NZ versions). Examples include Idol, Millionaire, Gordon Ramsey shows, Dragons Den, The Apprentice and Got Talent. Even some of the current affairs programs will have a kiwi host who introduces segments produced by other countries.

The only British TV I seem to watch nowadays is Top Gear. And it always seems to be the same old episodes too. I must have seen the Veyron challenge one at least twenty times on the Top Gear/Ray Mears channel.

I also watch ITV3 as they show Sherlock Holmes alot. Can't think of anything current I watch, well apart from the River Cottage programmes.

There seemed to be more to watch when we had less channels.

Yes, there are plenty. Now strawberry float off back to watching your crappy showns from your gooseberry fool inbread island.

I do actually like NZ, I want to go sometime. If not just to vary the gene pool

A fair bit - numerous decent specials (the most recent being Sunshine on the beeb), whatever the Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes team are up to, loads of people love Spooks, Top Gear, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Peep Show... I could be here all day if I really thought about it.
