You drive ambulances/fire engines / police cars?

He's a rozzer. Which causes some nice debates between him and Cal.

Yes, for many reasons. I couldn't be arsed at uni and got a gooseberry fool degree, so I'm lucky to get my job, in a graduate position. Also it's a nice office, fairly newly refurbished, tidy, nice people (very, very important obviously), met two of my best mates there and my work is not too taxing and is fairly interesting. It also pays my bills, which is pretty cool.

I'd be bored, broke and buggered without my job, so yeah it's important to me!

At the moment finding one is important to me. Fortunately the Christmas staff recruiting is starting to kick in so hopefully it will start becoming easier.

Sort of. I used to love my job when I first started in libraries about 8 years ago. Several jobs (within the same library authority) later and after being messed about by management I feel differently.

I love:

The people I work with
Dealing the the public (mostly)
Most of the work

I hate:

A tiny minority of the customers who really wind me up
The crap decisions that come from County Hall
Managements lack of willing to back up staff
Being accused of being a pedo by customers because I work in the childrens library (despite the fact I never wanted to be down there and got forced into it)

Overall I enjoy the job itself but hate the local authority with a passion. I'm ready for a change in direction and I'm currently working towards that rather than viewing my current job as a career.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

Not really. Obviously it is in the sense that it pays my rent, bills etc, but otherwise no. I don't plan to be in it for too much longer anyway.

I work in the billing department for a large company, fortunately I don't have to answer any phones. The only two things I do like about my job, are the people and the fact I can browse this place all day. I've been a temp there for almost eighteen months and I've asked the manager numerous times if they can take me on permanently, he always says he'll look into it and I never get an answer back.

But like I say, hopefully I won't have to stick it for too much longer.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Let me get this straight... You spend your working day strawberry floating about on internet forums, and you're wondering why they won't take you on full-time?

I debate this. If it paid about 7-10K more than it does I'd say yes. But at the moment I'm not really happy. I've actually applied for another job (outside of the games industry), but I'm not holding my breath.
