Did Keighly even specify what his big announcement pertained to?

Good to hear that Toon Link lives on.

Although this probably means that a Wii Zelda game is off the menu for a while.

Maybe they'll do a Four Swords for Wii Ware now that they have GBs of space needing to be filled.

I don't think it had anything to do with Nintendo. I though he was on about Microsoft.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? If the Zelda team is working on this...

I dunno. Maybe E3 will surprise us. I'm not sure Zelda on Wii is done just yet.

strawberry float's sake. FFCCMLAADL is a tower defence game - it's not a sequel to MLAAK at all. :fp:

Not that amazed with this new Zelda. I'm not a big fan of PH and to be honest the Ds features were a big part of why.

I wasn't expecting much and a new Zelda is always pleasant to here about, but Im just a little apathetic about this.

Phantom Hourglass wasn't developed by the Twilight Princess team, so they could still be working on a Wii version. It was developed by the Four Swords: Adventures team, with Aonuma sticking his head in every so often to check on them. I'd say it's a safe bet the same team is working on this too.

Probably rules out a winter release for the Wii version, but you never know.

Phantom Hourglass was the freshest Zelda in years. This looks to be a step further away from what the series has always been about, which is a brave decision, but ultimately a good thing. Who wants all the games to be clones of Ocarina? Those who disliked Twilight Princess for its overfamiliarity will surely agree that change is necessary.

Based on the blog reports of Link using a "black shadow" as well as capturing enemies and using them as monsters I'm willing to bet that the "Sprit" bit relates to it being some kind of train of death, and you can use the abilties of the enemies you kill a bit like Folklore. Or not. Maybe. We'll see.

Eww...if it plays exactly the same as every other TDG.

When playing MLAAK I imagined that defending my growing settlement from attack would have been pretty cool.
