I googled 'Carrie, alternative lyrics' and came up with:

"Carrie doesn't live here anymore,
Carrie is a bitch, she's a dirty whore,
Carrie is a banana split, she's a dirty slag,
I buried that ho in a dustbin bag."

I'm aware that posting a load of links to news sites is a bit of a Cal thing to do. I have to stress I'm only doing this as I find the whole thing intriguing. I would still file this under 'conspiracy theory', with everything that implies (ie: probably bullshit), but as I've said, there is something, to me, that chimes with this particular tale more than any other.

Some of them are filled with really blind rhetoric, poor grammar, etc, but so much of this case does ring true, particularly the fixation on Barry George.

This one, from the Mirror, focuses on how determined the police were to get George:

This one, from the Mail, doesn't go so far as to draw the link, but I think they definitely hint it.,

Really? You Think? And it doesn't occur to you that expressing interest in what is clearly a mad-as-a-bag-of-kittens-tin-foil-hat-wearing kiddie fiddling conspiracy theory might also be construed as 'a bit of Cal thing to do'? Or do different rules apply when the belief is in a secret, shadowy illuminati-style child porn ring at the highest echelons of British society, media and government, as opposed to - oh, I dunno - say questioning whether the IPCC might just have got a few of their sums wrong on global warming? Which of these two propositions strikes you as the more nutty?

You lot. :fp:

Also, people had asked for the links, so I provided. I was keen not to come across as being in any way like you, so tried to preface my post accordingly.

This raised eyebrows in today's Daily Mail:

Ephraim Hardcastle, Daily Mail wrote:With Sir Cliff Richard describing allegations against him as 'completely false' while police search his Berkshire property, might old pal Tony Blair offer moral support? Sir Cliff had the Blairs as houseguests in Barbados when they were at No. 10, explaining: 'I invited Tony to stay out of concern for his wellbeing – he was a terrorist target.'

While Blair was invading Iraq, Cliff was invading his kids.

He overcame their rear guard with a thrust manoeuvre.

I love kids, but think having sex with with them is bad and you should not do it. Ever

It's becoming a bit of a witch-hunt imo, they should only make it public if the accused is actually found guilty as this kind of accusation can have lasting effects on people regardless of guilt

If he's guilty then yes, string the strawberry floater up.
